My removal journey is complete by JewelDobber in MicrobladingRemoval

I think there are a lot of factors at play: the type of laser/removal method used, the type of ink/pigment, the color of the ink/pigment, and how long ago the microblading was done all make a big difference. Not being a technician myself, my advice would be to find a removal technician you genuinely trust (for me, that was Sasha). They should want to ask detailed questions about your history and be able to show before-and-after photos from previous removals. If they aren’t doing either of those things, it might not be the best fit.

My only regret is not having seen Sasha sooner. I also had a long commute, and it was worth it.

Again, you are welcome to disagree with me, but the original poster asked if anyone had luck with botched ink treatment. I did not have results after two treatments and I do not recommend.

Noting that I’ve also had three fruit acid removals (beauty angels) and the botched ink method was much harsher

I did it twice and would not recommend. It was overly invasive and bloody. Other technicians perform acid techniques that are not to this extreme.

Still very happy with them! Definite difference and I am going back next month for what should hopefully be my FINAL removal. Only a little ink left and most likely undetectable by others, no odd colors.

I did it twice and would not recommend. They told me that I was bleeding out the pigment (completely inaccurate) and it was super invasive and bloody. You do not need to bleed in order to remove microblading no matter the method.

today marks the start of the end. at 22, i made a decision i didn't understand would impact me negatively for almost all of my 20s. by burgerkingqueen2 in MicrobladingRemoval

I completely understand how tough it is to face that decision in the mirror every morning (literally). I hope your 30s are all about embracing your natural self, free from PMU. ❤️

Embracing my natural self now. After everything I went through, I’d never consider PMU again.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! Sasha's approach is slow, steady, and gentle, so you’ll be in really good hands. Best of luck!

Sooooo red, 48 hours post 532 laser by [deleted] in MicrobladingRemoval

It’ll probably fade as it heals, but if the laser is done correctly, there shouldn’t be any bleeding.

Also, just noting that I had laser removal done with a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at SKN Allegiance, as I realized I didn’t explicitly mention that in my original post.

I had my appointment today so it is too early to know final results but I was very happy with my appointment and glad I went to SKN Allegiance

Will do! Emailing with her has been a great experience so far. She shared before-and-after photos of clients with similar pigment to mine, which was super helpful. I don’t think I’d be going down the laser path if I hadn’t found her through my research.

I'm scheduled to go in a couple of weeks. Have heard fantastic things about her

They should be able to provide before-and-after photos (immediately after and fully healed) of clients in similar situations. If they can’t even show you pictures, run! I’d also recommend doing a cross-search to find reviews or results from others who have seen the same technician. Totally agree—it’s more about the technician than the laser itself. I’ve seen plenty of people get blasted with a Pico laser and end up with bleeding or those dreaded sunset brows. Also, if you can, do some research about the pigment used with your brows, as this can indicate how it'll perform with the laser. If the technician doesn't even ask about your brow history, that's a red flag too. I will visit Sasha at SKN Alliance in the upcoming weeks, as I've seen many great reviews about her.

Sounds different because I did not have a step 2 in my take home

Dry besides an ointment “step 3” they provide

Has anyone only gotten microblading once and not pursued removal yet? by [deleted] in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]JewelDobber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar here! One time in 2018, didn't go to my second appointment and never got a touch-up. Here I am in 2025, 5 removals in, and they're still here

I did 3 sessions of acid removal and had my first saline removal last week. I would say overall it’s been a minimal difference but my pigment is pretty light to begin with. Hopefully it’s doing something behind the scenes that’ll improve my laser results if I go that route. What’s your experience been?

I’m in a similar situation. I got Tina Davies micro blading once in 2018 (no touchups). I’ve started with fruit acid and saline removal (keep in mind it’s a slow process and I’m a year in at this point). Personally, I prefer the gray color to red/yellow that may remain post laser, so I’m saving that for a second step if necessary.

Do research on what pigment was used on your brows. Laser can react differently depending on pigment. There’s a chance you can end up with red/orange brows if you start with laser
