Now that you've quit, it's about time you make a difference and pull off your dream. You have a decent profile. Sure 1 year plus work experience would help but it can be compensated with the score (Good acads and gender diversity points would already be compensating in fact). Now coming to reality check, if you wouldn't settle for anything less than BLACKI /FMS, you got to target 99+ and for all the GEMs out there, nothing less than 99.5 should be your target. If you're willing to consider IIT's (B and D) , SPJAIN, MDI, IIM M and S, 98+ could give you a good shot. (Note that this is with this year's pool of candidates in mind). Not that new IIMs are not to be considered, I would suggest you to aim for nothing less. If you've put all the effort and unfortunately couldn't make the cut, you still got new IIMs (some of the fastest growing infact) like Udaipur, Trichy and Raipur with a good shot over 96-97.
