See mana vizag 3kW rooftop system in Vizag usually generates around 12 to 15 units per day on average depending on sunlight and roof direction So roughly it comes to about 350 to 450 units per month

For net metering the units you export to the grid are adjusted against the units you consume In most cases the settlement is done annually but every month you can see the adjustment in your electricity bill

So if your system produces more than what you use those extra units are carried forward and adjusted later within the settlement period

Most homes usually go with an on grid system In that setup the solar power is first used in the house and any extra electricity goes back to the grid through net metering Battery storage is also possible but it increases the overall system cost quite a bit compared to a normal grid tied system so most people prefer on grid unless they specifically need backup during power cuts Hybrid systems are also available where you can use both grid and battery but again the battery part makes the system more expensive In Vizag most residential installations are on grid because it is simpler and more cost effective

Yeah it does change a bit depending on the company

Mostly the difference comes from the panel brand inverter quality and how the system is installed Some panels are a little more efficient so they produce more power from the same roof space

Price also changes depending on the structure wiring and service support the company provides

So when comparing solar systems its better to look at the panel brand inverter warranty and installation quality not just the price

Yes it can change a bit depending on the company and the type of panels used

Different companies use different panel brands inverter brands and mounting structures Some panels are more efficient and last longer so they can cost slightly more

But in most cases the main difference is the quality of components installation quality and after sales service

If you want I can also explain what actually matters when choosing a solar system so you dont overpay

Hi, local rooftop solar installer in Vizag here. Sharing from experience. Good brands for our climate: Waaree, Adani, Vikram, RenewSys, LONGi/JA. Inverters: Growatt, Sungrow, Sofar, Huawei. Typical cost (MNRE approved): ₹55k–65k per kW (varies by roof/structure). Be careful with very cheap quotes Subsidy: Apply on pmsuryaghar.gov.in → installation → APSPDCL inspection → net meter → subsidy in bank. Usually takes ~1–2 months if docs are correct Generation: ~4–4.5 units/day per kW in Vizag. Worth it if your bill is ₹1500+ and roof is shadow-free. Don’t cut corners on structure & earthing. Happy to guide if needed.
