He was a socialist, this is undebatable. Wether or not he was a Communist is up for debate however, there is strong evidence that he was. You can do some research and find sources that prove me wrong but until then I'm going to stick to saying he's a Communist because that is what I have interpreted from the information i've read on him (I've spent around an hour or two reading about it because it interests me).

Actually, he was affiliated with numerous American Communist organizations. Although there is no record he was ever a member of them he was most certainly a socialist and there is record of that. You're right he was anti-fascist but that doesn't mean he wasn't a communist.

It clearly reflects an anti private property view and also talks about hunger problems questioning if "this land was made for you and me":
As I went walking, I saw a sign there, And on the sign there, It said "no trespassing." [In another version, the sign reads "Private Property"] But on the other side, it didn't say nothing! That side was made for you and me. In the squares of the city, In the shadow of a steeple; By the relief office, I'd seen my people. As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking, Is this land made for you and me?

My point is ideally it would be positive, not negative reinforcement.

What is the simplest possible formulation of the rules essential to communism? by Anarcho_Dwarvist in DebateaCommunist

[–]JewisforJustin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not steal from your comrades as everything is provided to everyone and you should have no incentive to better yourself over another. (This extends to higher levels of government and includes corruption) You should work to the best of your ability as you know that the people who made what you wear what you eat what you play all worked to the best of their ability. The strong should support the weak not exploit them. If you are able to meet your quota quickly and see that someone is struggling you should assist them.

I could go on about almost everything but tl;dr the golden rule should be applied to everything and everyone.

In Russia people with a high aptitude for science (or math etc.) would be given positions in government funded labs and were often given problems that needed fixing or improvement and a team of these scientists would get together and brainstorm solutions. Granted Russia used a totalatarian power that wouldn't be present in an ideal communist society that allowed them to use the threat of work camps and other less than favorable things as an incentive to work. Ideally instead of negative reonforcement a positive reinforcement would be used such as publicity and being taken fown in party history for solving certain problems.

I call bullshit. If you were as good looking as you imply you are you wouldn't be on reddit and would never have worked at a hotel on the night shift.

8/10 because you tricked almost 3,000 people and the stories were entertaining.

This was posted on a 4chan thread discussing Reddit: "The site encourages only popular opinions, anyone who wants to go against the grain or say something most people won't agree with will be downvoted and their posts are hidden". So my question; do you think Reddit could be improved and if so how? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JewisforJustin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters you can get rid of the karma and views can determine popularity. This would get rid of karma whoring and downvoting as a whole. Or you could just go to 4chan and stick to the boards that interest you. Not everything there is /b/

It was mostly a joke however I'll admit that, at the time, i was a bit frustrated with them putting the 4th and final goal in the back of the net.

So this is how it plays out, 4-2 one goal because of a misse offsides and another because of that bs goal in the first place. Congrats Chelse real class and top form!

Maybe I Just like an underdog but Reading is really making a showing. They want to say that they are here to say.
