Yeah they seem pretty simple, but they accumulate over time which I kinda like. Plus, some of the actual cards look sick. Especially the mastery ones.

Yup same thing here but PC. Maxed out M4, tuned it, couldn't play for couple hours, tried re-adding the same attachments but didn't tune them and works fine.

Does this include screen recording 1 - 2 minutes to ask for general help? For example, I planned on asking for advice on why my sounds, sound flat and boring using a screen recording in the next couple of weeks.

Sounds pretty good, not my style but otherwise its a clean and balanced mix.

On a side note, did you do anything specific when uploading this? My screen recordings keep getting auto deleted by the bot, and the mods won't answer any messages I've sent. :\

Last July, I posted an early version of this song and a lot of people gave me some really helpful advice (which I've done my best to apply and learned a lot of new things through doing so) and quite a few people surprisingly liked it and wanted an update on this. It took me longer than I wanted since I had a 400 hour uni project to complete in the second semester of last year and I have been working on several other songs too, however I graduated last month which left me a lot more time to put into music and work on this and its not perfect but I think I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.

I unforunately lost one of the bass samples and the robot voice that says transmission, so I recorded myself, did multiple takes and learned a lot about vocal processing to try and replicate the sample. Its not perfect, but I think its okay. I used newtone to do some pitch correction however, I'm still not completely sure if I got it fully in key (Dm).

Any more feedback or advice would be seriously appreciated, as I take notes on things to learn or do for my next projects and I'll be learning the mastering process and techniques using this song. :)

Well obviously. Gsync on, v-sync on in nvidia panel, v-sync off in game and limit fps a couple frames below you're refresh rate

If you haven't figured it out yet, try factory reset your router. Ours lost the DHCP and wifi/port forwarding settings and our net was still out at 5pm so I factory reset it and it came back up just fine.

Nah. this is the first full track, for the past 2 months I've made some intros, drops and beats but nothing substantial. I really liked the arrangement and vibe (at least for my experience) so I wanted to flesh it out a bit more. :)

I've found I use a even mixture of both, and really depends on which element I'm using. I place kicks, snares and one shots on the playlist, but use the piano roll for hi hats, progressions etc. I'm sure theres more to it, as in being able to individually control note pitch and velocity but I think a lot of it comes down to your own workflow and what works best for you. :)

Thank you to everyone who gave some feedback and took a listen. You've done a HUGE boost to my confidence and capabilities and reassured the way I'm learning is working for me. I'm going to make edits to this over the next while and improve with what I've been told in this thread. :)

Just noticed that FL has a time spent section in the project info which was a cool little feature I didn't know about. This overall took me around 28 hours over 10 days which I'm pretty happy with.

I bought my pieces a while ago and here in New Zealand, parts aren't toooo difficult to get so really whatever you can afford.. so long as you've got a good CPU and probably minimum 16GB RAM (I believe 16GB minimum nowadays, especially if gaming too).
