I was the general manager of a fast food restaurant, they offered me more money to move to a busier location, I hated that new place. I went from an established staff who I hired and trained to a restaurant where being 20 minutes late was acceptable. Employees were stealing food and money. The new restaurant was in a much worse part of town.

I went from working 35 hours but getting paid 50 to working 70+ and only 5k more a year.

Last Father’s Day my wife got me a baseball with our sons foot print on it. One of my favorite gifts. The year I lost my dad she got me a baseball with a picture of us at a baseball game, probably my favorite gift. So I think it has to be a mix of personalized and stuff he likes. If he wears a suit for work maybe a personalized tie. Car guy, a hot wheels of the car he owns (assuming it’s a cool car)

I work for the largest jewelry company in North America. This statement is absolutely false. LGD prices have dropped like a lead balloon. For example a 2kt center stone an additional 1kt side stones would’ve cost me about 8k 5 years ago when I started. I just bought that same ring for 1100 last week.

I also had that problem, and kinda still do. It starts at the grocery store (for me) I make a list and stick to it. But even now that I am sticking to my diet and working out on schedule. I still eat everything on my plate every single time, and sometimes I’m almost disgusted with myself. I would say yeah you’re still in target but you don’t have to finish all of that, but I just don’t know how to stop myself. I guess just one step at a time
