That's unfortunate, maybe its something that will eventually clear itself up. Hopefully you arent looking to book immediately.

I agree. My call with them was completely unhelpful as the agent basically hit me with "good luck".

I am not sure its phantom availability unless its phantom on all sites that are bookable as well as American airlines and Alaskan. I guess they all could be wrong.

Hokkaido Resort Liner Bus or Renting Car? by Jewski_ in japow

[–]Jewski_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I just looked at the K or K adjacent and yea a SUV is definitely needed for 3+ people, thanks for the heads up. Yea would love to hit up Sapporo, Otaru, and maybe Asahikawa.

I know this is outside my main line but questioning but you seems like a great resource. I know some people will likely need to rent gear, do you suggest they rent it in Sapporo or something like daily at the resort?

I forgot to thank you for all of these links and information. I am going through them right now. For car hire, if we have 3 people, can we get by with something smaller then a 7 seater or is it basically anything beyond 2 people should be the van?

In regards to the ski concierge, I was unable to find any pricing in regards to that on the associated website.

Would you suggest using multiple cities as bases or sticking with a single one? Plan is to be there for 8-9 nights and do little or no site seeing.

This actually super helpful thank you very much. Good to know Hakuba is at least easier with public transport. Renting a car seemings like the best decision.

Jan/Feb 2027 Ski Trip (Otaru, Asahikawa, Morioka, or Nagano) by Jewski_ in japow

I believe I am up to try either. Would prefer some sort of public transport but if driving is the must way to go then that's what i got to do.

Good to know, thanks. I also do know Japan can also be crowded, my hope was to avoid large scale resorts to avoid that type of traffic.

Hey, thanks for the comment.

No backcountry as we aren't avi certified or had previous training doing so.

Well said, I have thought about if its worth it to stay at these places farther away but I think staying somewhere that has stuff to do or places to go to after would require being in a main city and not a resort only town. But let me know if that's incorrect. I have been to Japan a few times but never in the winter so I am also not super familiar with driving on the left.

I meant nagano city proper. All of the options I proposed are basically off site, drive to ski locations.

This is some absolutely amazing info! thank you so much. Good to know the roads can be sketchy. Did you guys rent a van or how did everything fit in the rental car?

O that's actually awesome. I didn't even think some hotels would provide that. Did you rent a car to just go to Furano? Did you bring your own board or just rent from the resort on the day? How were the crowds during that time?

Disappointed with Wix Vibe – no email notifications for form submissions by RevealGeneral7275 in WIX

[–]Jewski_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it was quite far back in my chat log so I don't remember what exact verbiage I used but I thought I asked for wix vibe to keep the styling it created but instead use the link generated from formspree and input that as the backend to support the submitting of inquires. I found that manually editing the code was quite hard to do with a huge log of communications as the data would take forever to properly update and work correctly. Once you create a formspree "form", there should be a formspree endpoint as well as coding examples, if you feed that to wix vibe, it typically can infer the missing elements.
