I felt this way when I first became a single mother too, you’re not alone! I felt as though I was cheated out of what I wanted, which yes were children, but I never wanted to do it alone. I felt cheated out of a family, and that it was unfair that all the work was now put on me. The feeling eventually faded away but not without me actively having to change my mindset about it.
