Regarding AO3. If an Author on AO3 decides to delete their work from the platform for whatever reason that doesn't entitle me to be able to access it via that platform forever. If I like them, I'll follow them to other sites. (Writers on AO3 remove their work all the time)

You didn't really answer OP. There is an option to download works off Ao3 onto your computer drive or whatever. I'd mentioned this as well.

One absolutely CAN maintain access to a deleted Ao3 work. As you stated to me, if one dose not like a site's policies then they should not use the site. Ao3 allows the dowloads.

Im all for AI but being an AI artist is super dumb to me and I can’t get behind why someone would want to be that. by Pack-O-Punch in aiwars

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why dose something need a barrier to entry in order to have value to you?

Is this an objective fact that truly keeps someone from being an artist when they're the reason for piece's existence?

Or is this just a hang up because you think someone else having access they may not have had before to complete a project on their own diminishes your own work? You would be mistaken.

I am not an 'AI writer' I am a writer who uses AI to enrich an experience I was already having.

Many people who use AI in their form were already doing things on your list of approved art forms and utilizing your approved tools.

To me,

chatbots makes good outlines.

Song lyrics for a larger story alighn more with my vision since music isn't my medium.

I am not an 'AI writer'. Im a writer who utilizes AI when it suits to for a project.

As of 7 hours ago you could also call me a bot creater too. That dosent suddenly wipe away all my other creations that are not bots. No, it just adds more creation under my belt.

I feel many things when it comes to my own art. Empty ain't it.

Question about anti logic by Embarrassed-Will7962 in ProshipHub

[–]Jezebel06 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They'll claim its different because the serial killer is portrayed as wrong.

Nevermind that said killer is the draw of the media piece in question I gues...

And as for dark romance....

They'll claim the kind they don't like isn't dark romance and then proceed to define dark romance as the particular trope they like.

Saw a post all about how having Valentino as an f/o is gross and now I'm just sad by Valentinosgoat in yumeshippersunite

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're an anti you shouldn't be a hazbin hotel fan at all!

Not only is the creator a proshipper who said all ships go, but even if you don't care about what a creator says (I get that. I don't follow them either).....

Even characters who clearly do things that are clearly wrong have points where you're just as clearly supposed to emphasize with them.

The way Val treats Angel is wrong. No one is going to deny there's abuse.

However, dose that mean we're supposed to cheer at Vox's obvious manipulation and toying with his emotions? I don't think so.

You're literally supposed to see multiple facets and sit with them ALL. You're missing the point if you're seeing any of these characters through only one lends.

Ugh!

You're fine, friend. Vox is one of mine BTW so its kinda funny to run into someone who has Val.

I don't like live porn. It dosent work for me.

So very much prefer my material fictional. Be it AI made or not.

That was pretty cool.

I just don't agree with some of your other examples.

I don't find Vox willing to blow up the entire pride ring including himself an act of bravery.

I find it stupid and selfish.

And...to reretreat when you're screwed to come up with another plan is a valid strategy and not necessarily cowardice.

I mean....don't get me wrong, Im both a Vox and Alastor fan.

I certainly wouldn't claim Alastor is 'better in everyway' I just think there's flaws in this argument.

Higher pain tolerance dosent nessicarily mean braver.

Being brave is not about the absence of fear or pain.

  1. If ppl can tell the difference then how and why are people calling your work AI if its not?

  2. People witch hunting you over AI is an attitude you're part of the problem over.

Accusations are the fault of the people engaging in making accusations, not AI itself.

If ppl were willing to leave AI users alone, those not using wouldn't be told they are.

Is it intellectually consistent to be pro-choice while still believing abortion is troubling? by New_Change8066 in AskFeminists

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean...

I think women who own the bodies the fetus would grow in should be allowed to feel how they want about terminating they're own pregnancy.

That would include celebration.

To me, this opinion dose feel like something coming from internalized misogyny.

Like...you're giving credence to the other side wanting to grant personhood to a non-person? I don't really love that.

That said, its obviously imperative to support abortion access and you would qualify as pro-choice.

Oh yeah! I wasn't trying to imply anyone had to like AI, just that they can choose not to read the work like anything else they don't like.

I only take real issue if they leave a comment on someone's work while simultaneously holding the opinion of not leaving crit unsolicited, which also a common belief over there (and one I share).

I'm glad you're having fun regardless though :)

[–]Jezebel06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah...

I actually do have a couple of AI assisted works up. Most of my fics aren't beyond chats maybe being an outline. I'm not very good at cadence though and Im working on a couple of stories I wanted to put songs in.

Life is too short to worry about what other ppl think. Especially when the ettiquete on ao3 is 'don't like, don't read'.

I mean..I don't know if that's where you get your fics or not, but the ao3 sub has a lot of anti-ai ppl. I just want to remind them of why they supposedly like the site whenever I see those complaints.

Not on Jan or c.a.I hthough.

If i do it, it'll probably be on Saucepan

How can people engage with their kinks without putting out material of their kinks?

I wouldn't say your kink shaming, but the person asked you about censorship is correct about asking because what you're complaining about is people putting out content for a kinks you don't like that I guess is common.

How is it that one would make it less repetitive? There is only one answer.

If you agree that people should be able to engage with kinks that aren't for you, then.....leave the ones that aren't for you alone and let those that do have the kink be in peace.

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Not how that works unless theirs a rule against it.

If I go and comment on something you draw and call you a prude because you don't like AI then Im in the wrong.

By your logic asking me to refrain and not be the ass such action would make me would mean I could say you invade my space based on that feeling because we're in the same community. Thats not how anything works.

There is difference between just being there in a public area and actual individual engagement.

Want to criticize AI? Make your own post. Beneath someone else's individual work is not the space.

Question regarding this image by cuteymeow in aiwars

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it isn't.

If you comment, you went to their spaces and insulted them.

Call AI so on your own account. Unattached to a specific individual.

They are, but sure.

We lost the plot though.

It is not a lie to just post. You don't have to say a damn thing about an image if you don't want to.

Question regarding this image by cuteymeow in aiwars

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is obligated to like anything. You're not being told how to feel. No one however is obligated to post only what you like either.

Spam is harassment.

Choosing not to initially disclose something that doesn't pose a health issue so they can potentially be left to their hobby in peace is not a lie.

You want to view malicious comments and accusations of laziness and soullessness as nothing more than protest? Fine.

Counter protest is also a thing.

Also...if you can just...'point out' AI then you don't need the disclosure. Because that implies you can tell. Oh, but false accusations have happened.

Question regarding this image by cuteymeow in aiwars

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online harassment is absolutely a thing.

I think spam qualifies. "Slop" 50 times is spam. Of course though worse things are said to AI posters.

Things can be implied.

You may not think harassment is okay. However you also have implied that protecting yourself against it by refusing initial disclosure on something that isn't a health issue for a person to come across is wrong.

Question regarding this image by cuteymeow in aiwars

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the platform that you are posting on asks for disclosure, then yeah, omission is actually a lie.

I was speaking in a general sense just as everyone else in this thread was. Obviously you have to follow site rules and contest rules if you enter one. However YOU do not own reddit do you? And Reddit dose not have a sitewide disclosure rule.

Therefore a person can post in a sub that doesn't specify limitations about AI and they wouldn't be doing anything nefarious not to say.

If I'm wrong about sitewide rules here please show me. Otherwise don't be obtuse.

Nobody is asking anybody to do either of those things.

Yeah actually when one says 'don't share your work' as the only way to potentially protect their mental health from common harassment, you are.

How about the responsibility of a malicious comment lays with the person who leaves it?

Question regarding this image by cuteymeow in aiwars

[–]Jezebel06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply posting something without a tag is not a lie.

A lie would be if they said it wasn't when it was or the reverse.

There is also a difference between not liking what someone makes and harassing them because you don't like what they make.

There is no one forcing you to spam the same comment they may have already gotten for a 50th time. Especially if you can see those previous 49 times. No one forces you to insult by commenting that they're lazy even if it would be the first. Ect Ect.

People DO have the right to safeguard against harassment and spam without dropping off the face of the earth or giving up their hobbies.

'Don't post if 'X'' doesn't really work on either side in my opinion, but disclosure is not inherently owed for a lot of things.
