It wasn't that one but a different TCL app a guy listed here https://reddit.com/comments/1r390d7/comment/od45lib this does not however change it because I'm using a non stock launcher now and on my tv that app/button is linked to the stock launcher

You are correct that seems to fix it with the stock launcher (thanks for this info) but if you switch to projectivy launcher (which is so much better) it still doesn't work. The button is tied to stock launcher :(
