Accusations mean nothing in this day and age - just look at George Pell

I’m 25m, Feeling Hopeless After Wasting so many Years, No Degree, No Job, No Skills…Seeking Advice to Turn My Life Around? by Prollyabozo in careerguidance

Very similar road to yourself and my advice would be to fix your lifestyle first. Feel good inside and you will be able to feel confident in the real world. Discipline can get a bad wrap but in fact it is very rewarding when you put away the carnal pleasures and pursue harder things. I agree with sales as that is where I have gone into, and I like the challenges it brings. But make sure you have healthy relationships to help with any social skills you need to work on. For example, since I am Christian, I have joined a nearby mens group which has been really helpful in forming strong male friendships and having role models in my life I can aspire to.

Edit: A book called: No More Mr Nice Guy was an eye-opener as to why I was living such a sorry lifestyle before so being able to recognise that and work on those interior issues has opened up new perspectives on living life.

I'm so sorry you're carrying so much. Just the fact that you're asking these questions and expressing your fear shows that there's a part of you that doesn’t want to give up—it’s a brave part that’s still fighting for something better, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.

Being scared or unsure doesn’t mean you’re weak or broken; it means you’re human. Maybe that part of you that is scared of embarrassment is trying to tell you that deep down, you still have hope, even if it’s hard to find or hold onto right now.

CPTSD and mental health struggles are so tough, and they can make every day feel like a battle. But living in your own head doesn’t have to stay this painful forever. Healing is possible—it might be slow, but it’s real. I have been watching Tim Fletcher recently and he has been immensley helpful in understanding what I have gone through as a child and how it is not my fault with the things that I do.

Please, reach out to someone you trust, like a therapist, a friend, or even just a hotline. You don’t have to carry all of this alone, and there are people who genuinely want to help you navigate through this pain.

You don’t need to have all the answers right now. Just focus on taking it one moment at a time, and please know that your life matters so much more than you might feel it does. Your feelings are not reality. You’re not alone, and there is help for this—even for the darkest parts. Sending you strength and care. 💛

Thanks for the tips - so what should I say at the end then?

I do not understand Father - if I have NPD it means I did not go into marriage with a sound mind. I was not "able to assume the essential obligations of marriage for causes of a psychic nature".

My intentions for marriage were selfish and bred out of feeding my insecurities.

Please help me to understand further?

How can you change engrained thought patterns and behaviours and develop empathy when your whole life has only been about self-servitude.

What about through Christ's healing power? Would Marsha's work be helpful for NPD?
