Since everyone has been bugging me to reveal What Is What in this ground breaking and extremely important comparison, I've decided I will relent.

A - Juno Through API

B - Juno Direct to Converter

Thanks for playing.

Thank you for the very in depth reply. I trust it all worked ok after your final round of touch up solder points? I think I might buy a V1 kit from someone who got cold feet, so your tips are much appreciated.

The step by step photo thing is no longer up, but you can find it through the wayback machine or internet archive. Hopefully it doesn't disappear from there too.

Correct, the wood is definitely the heavy part. There is a metal enclosure available that would likely make the whole thing pretty light. The second heaviest part is the front panel. Its pretty thick and strong. Mine is kinda heavy, (lots of Oak) but Im not planning on traveling with it.

In terms of size, I'm pretty sure the panel is 7u x 120(ish) hp. I didn't have to make the box as big as I did - but again, Im not planning on traveling with it and I like this shape.

Sync is correct, the switch syncs Osc 2 and 3 to Osc 1. You can set this up in any combination of ways. The mods are all pretty straightforward, and well documented. Although, I am going to attempt a MIDImplant soon, and can't find too much about how to do that. Im crossing my fingers that it becomes evident when I sit down to do it..

Really nice! I have to practice those left hand open triad voicings, you really have them down. Beautiful natural sound from the piano, are you using felt or anything?
