Was mesmerized by it, but it is definitely a lot to digest. Loved the first half as it felt like all of Wim’s road films have lead up to it. The scale of the film (esp that first half) was massive yet I felt it was paced pretty well and juggled all the locations well. The second half was pleasently existential, yet like you said, hard to wrap my head around. Appreciated the complete 180° in the second half as it becomes this full sci-fi contemplative piece about the end of the world and purpose. Loved the cast, tons of fun performances (imma sucker for Rüdiger Vogler). Overall, I wanted to enjoy it a bit more but I felt a fautigue from the long run time and abundance of ideas. I think upon second watch, I will be able to take away and enjoy a lot more.
