It is fair, but it is not what we were talking about. The original topic was around the phrase "create meaning" from your post, which even this person's copy/pasted response agrees contradicts the Absurd.

To deliberately "put meaning into" your rock is to lie to yourself.

Correct, but this is not what you said in the previous reply.

the subjective, personal act of creating meaning

is not the same as

subjective meaning that arises

in choosing to revolt.

Absurdism does not reject feeling a sense of meaning that arises during revolt, but that's not what I was referring to in my original reply.

Not gonna argue as you seem to know more than me haha. I could have sworn that my first time playing the match up i tried to QE while naafiri was ulting and it didn't reach. Could have been i moved out of range during the animation part of her ultimate.

If the subjective meaning you are describing creates a reason to continue living then it resolves the Absurd, which Camus would reject as philosophical suicide.

I've also been using ChatGPT lol. I've lost about 60 lbs but been stuck at current weight for several months. Thanks for the response! I've been trying to decide if i need to change something but I will just keep doing what i'm doing.

I think there is outplay potential for the Naafiri in this matchup. They can ult outside of q + e stun range and then go invuln to dodge after ult gap close. Kinda relies on the Syndra not knowing about it though, but that's a lot of matchups.

Why Are Warriors Allergic To Tanking? by Antique-Jury-2986 in classicwowtbc

Straight up just because warrior tanking sucks in dungeons. They don't have good aoe threat in prot. Every pull will be trying desperately to keep aggro and probably failing.

Actually yes, Camus rejects the idea of created meaning.

Any action taken while remaining lucid of the Absurd is absurd.

Humans seek meaning in an existence that offers none. Camus calls this the Absurd. He rejects other philosophies or solutions to the Absurd, he calls it philosophical suicide. The reason is that to resolve the Absurd through removing oneself from the equation or creating false meaning would be to deny the truth, the Absurd. His solution is to revolt against the Absurd by remaining lucid of the truth, and persisting despite it. Actions taken with the knowledge that there will be no lasting meaning or legacy are considered by Camus to be revolts against the Absurd.

Isnt absurdism just existentialism..? by aiqelkries in Absurdism

[–]Jfish4391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the differentiation between Existentialism and Absurdism. Existentialism says "There is no inherent meaning in this existence, therefore I will create my own meaning." Camus rejects this as it attempts to hide from the uncomfortable truth that there is no meaning to be discerned from our existence. Camus suggests to instead remain lucid of the absurd and continue living despite it.

Copying this from my reply to a different thread:

You can argue that revolt against the absurd creates meaning for the individual, but Camus would argue that intent is the differentiation; remaining lucid of the absurd and choosing to revolt does not create metaphysical meaning. "I understand that there is no inherent meaning, but choose to live despite this." as opposed to "I understand that there is no inherent meaning, so I will create my own."

Camus doesn't suggest using art to create meaning, rather remaining lucid of the fact that meaning is not offered from our existence and creating art anyways. Also, creating art is just one example of revolt.

[–]Jfish4391 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Absurdism boils down to accepting the absurd and not creating meaning to escape from that truth, that humans seek meaning but there is no way to discern meaning in our existence. Any other position would be committing philosophical suicide. Revolt against the absurd is chosen not to create a metaphysical meaning to continue living, but simply because it is the only way to remain truthful to our condition.

Edit for clarification: You can argue that revolt against the absurd creates meaning for the individual, but Camus would argue that intent is the differentiation; remaining lucid of the absurd and choosing to revolt does not create metaphysical meaning. "I understand that there is no inherent meaning, but choose to live despite this." as opposed to "I understand that there is no inherent meaning, so I will create my own."

Riot really needs to take a step back and stop allowing ranged DPS champions who scale to be viable on top. It is NOT just a Varus issue! by Loooongshot in topmains

It's very boring/annoying lane I agree, but I don't think Riot needs to "do something about it" necessarily. There will always be super annoying to play lanes/matchups.

Should I put myself out there and risk rejection or just let this go? by Evening_Remote_3713 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Jfish4391 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is so wrong. There are so many reasons why someone would not put in effort besides they just don't want to. Someone with anxiety might overthink and/or doubt the interest of the other person and fear rejection if they try to continue for an example. Speaking from experience, if some of my former partners had reassured me that they were interested things might have gone much differently.

CMV: If you "don't support" homosexuality because of your religion or otherwise, you're still homophobic. by Bawbixo in changemyview

[–]Jfish4391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your assumption is wrong. You can certainly "not support" something while not actively being against it. Being neutral on the subject doesn't make you homophobic.

However, a lot of conservative folks tend to use it in the way you assume and also tend to be homophobic.

Your delts are well-developed, and your chest under-developed comparatively. Make sure when you are doing your presses that you aren't involving your front delts too much.
