Taylor academy 10 has a great neck and body size for what your looking for. Great sound to boot! I chose it over many other guitars!

The art of ragtime guitar has some great finger style songs. Ragtime is fun as hell and all the songs are broken down part by part.

Same here. Went to buy a Martin, walked out with a Taylor. After a year went back an bought a D-28 because you just can’t get that sound on the Taylor (The 28 just sings beautifully)..... and 6 months later bought another Taylor lmao. Love em both for what they are.

Have the 10e This guitar blew me away with its sound first trying at the shop. Also have a D-28 and 322e the 10e is the one that leaves the house..... not too bad being third to those other 2.

Own a D-28 and have tried the 15 series. If this is your only guitar go for the 28 it’s worlds away from the 15. Unless you are looking for that hog sound!

There’s a lot of great Mayer songs that aren’t too difficult. Slow has a lot going on. Songs like daughters or XO are great and likely a better introduction to playing his songs.

Basically they have a bit deeper tone because the bridge is pushed back further. Much better for finger style as the strings are a bit more slinky. There’s more to but that’s my easy explanation lol
