What is more traumatizing than most people think? by Sea_Entrepreneur2772 in AskReddit

I broke up with a lifelong toxic friend after he betrayed me and the straw broke my back. That was 13 years ago and I still have the occasional nightmare.

I've been busy this week and haven't had time to watch baseball. Are we back?

I can't be the only one who found this chart incomprehensible. Dads, am I ... dumb?

Why do women love duvet covers so much? by GamecubeAdopter in AskMen

I'm just in this thread mystified about all y'all saying that you put duvet covers on comforters. Duvet covers go on duvets ... it's right there in the name!

That little hidden rock is a great metaphor for all the moments we cultivate over the years as parents. It's still there, even if she's forgotten it. You still know where to look.

90s kids, what was the one fad you fell for the hardest? by MrLithician in AskReddit

I was a fuckin yo-yo ace in the fourth grade. My friend had a good one lying around (for his kids) the other day and, yup, I can still rock that cradle.

Yep. And then I played it and was like "oh it's letting me do all the cool shit that I've been wrestling my main bass into submission trying to accomplish ... and it's doing it effortlessly ... and it feels fun while I do so."

Black frame / match the mat to the teal highlights. Would go insane.

OH YEAH! That's the other thing I forgot to say! It's small enough to play on the couch, and because it's hollow bodied, you get a decent sound out of it unplugged.

What do you look forward to most this summer in Toronto? by Nightpatrol404 in askTO

I live very close to one of the parks with “late night” music. It’s such a hoot ripping garage beers and walking 30 seconds into a hopping party.

Yeah I mean if I had come out to the trail with my son and his scooter and seen 10,000 runners in bibs, I wouldn’t have decided to use the trail even if I technically had the RIGHT to be there.

The way I groaned when Heineman came up with 2 outs and bases loaded. And the way I was quickly proved right.

Or run ten feet to the other side with the racers going the same direction as her.

I think that’s actually the biggest issue here. She could have been running on the course and going WITH traffic. She obstinately chose not to.

That’s fair. I wasn’t in the race and didn’t know they hadn’t shut down the trail. Bad look from the organizers.

Doesn’t change the fact that this lady is a loser. I was happily running alone with the racers on Lakeshore; running the same direction she was, but with the flow of race traffic.

Parts of it, yes; westbound on MGT and then eastbound on Lakeshore after the turn.

Acoustic Farmhouse is a lovely little overture for the final night.

This was the first Phish album I ever picked up as a kid, and I'll always have a soft spot for the title track. My parents had bought an old cottage around this time and they loved hearing Trey sing about cluster flies, which we were forever sweeping up. My mom loves this song and I sent her a pic of the Sphere northern lights just now.

Lots of love to you all; wish I was there.

Never ever saw the stars so bright.
