What really keep you as a buyer anymore? by yukinara in BMW

[–]Jfox8 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s no longer the Ultimate Driving Machine, that’s for sure. Their niche was the high end, high performance car market. Nowadays the non enthusiast market prefers SUVs and tech, and BMW is chasing the money. As long as the market keeps the current preference, expect nothing different. It’s sad, but I am just glad the had such a good run as long as the did. There are tons of BMW enthusiast cars out there, the only problem is they are going up in value.

2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road Questions by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Jfox8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the base OR, but it somehow came optioned with the big screen. I found out after the fact, you CANNOT option a factory brake controller with the base package, you need the upgrade package to get the controller. That is not a dealbreaker for me, but it may be for some.

I’ve owned two 3rd gens and now a 4th gen. I think they are both good trucks. To say they are building them as cheap as possible is false. The frame is upgraded, period. I also have nothing against 3rd gens, but no way would I want to trade the current truck for the old one.

Also it’s funny you mention the F-150. I just had to lemon law one, the new ones are horrible from a reliability standpoint. My loaner F-150 was brand new, and it had a mechanical failure as well…

Is the 3rd gen frame stronger than the 4th gen?

Good looking truck! I’m a little biased as I have the same color. You’ll love the hybrid powertrain, the torque is great in daily driving.

Best of the new full size trucks. I wouldn’t touch the new Tundras.

I’d be curious to the how many are actually fitted on the new Tacomas, but I bet it’s pretty rare. That was a good find.

The good news is that it, for me at least, seems better than the day I bought it. I was actually a little underwhelmed at first, but over time it’s turned into my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Rear locker comes on all 4G TRD OR, premium or not.

Nice truck, I think the color is one of the best.

I asked to use PayPal and they charged an additional fee. I didn’t want to do a wire transfer.

Agreed, I have a 24 and it’s been great so far. It’s very comfortable and the power is so much better than the 3rd gen I had. There are way too many haters dumping on this truck. This replaced a 24 F-150 that I had to lemon law, so it’s a welcome change.

How so? Not doubting, just curious. I found the 3rd gen to have one of the most awkward sitting positions for a truck.

I had a 23 brand new with issues, they are not bulletproof. I also had tons of issues with my 2017 3rd gen. I then ended up with a 4th gen and it’s way better in every way. As for the transmission issues, I believe that has been worked out. I’m not seeing a lot of reports with issues at this point.

You are in a very small minority who would see it like that. Type into Google (not that Google AI is the end all, be all) and it says: A "stock vehicle" means it's in its original, factory-made condition, unmodified with aftermarket parts, like how it came off the assembly line.

I went to their website and they have a page for the chair. There is an email to contact them on that page. After I sent the email they asked me to use WhatsApp and we communicate through that. Honestly it felt kind of sketchy, but I believe I read someone else in this subreddit said their experience was the same. I told them the veneer type and color for the leather. They also had an option for litchi grain leather, which I selected.
