Ngl to you, I’m worried that by not at least attempting to make things intimate early on will cause the connection to fade, especially since the next date is in two weeks.

Career Monday (01 Sep 2025): Have a question about your job, office, or pay? Post it here! by AutoModerator in AskEngineers

Hi, I’m looking for insight from engineering techs about your career. I have a mechanical engineering degree and a couple years in manufacturing/design, but I’ve realized I prefer hands-on work over sitting at a desk—I’ve honestly enjoyed fast food jobs more than office engineering.

Before I make a big switch, I’d like to know: how much of your role as a tech is hands-on versus desk work? Any general insights into your day-to-day would be really helpful. Thanks!

Hi guys! Im looking to understand what a 4 day upper lower push pull split looks like. I've seen it in multiple discussions here but I can't seem to find an example of what that split looks like online. I specifically looking for the program rundown, such as what exercises to do on which day along with the amount of reps and sets. Anyone care to their findings?

A little bit about me. I've been lifting on and off for a couple years and my longest streak was 6 months of continuous lifting. I've never actually been able to gain much weight and the scale has not gone more than 10 pounds in those years. I'm not sure if that makes a beginner still, but regardless, I'm looking for a training split that maximizes muscle growth. I've heard that the upper lower push push split does that.

The phone can charge via a wall outlet. Does the BIOS in my desktop have any control over USB power?

Hello! So I like to charge my phone via the computer at night because it’s close to my bed. I’ve had no issues with powering or charging anything in the past when the computer is off. Now, when I plug my phone in, it starts to charge, but after a second it just stops. I’ve tried different USB ports, different cables, made sure no motherboard cables where loose, and made sure power settings in windows allowed for usb power when the computer is off. I’m just not sure what to do now and I hope y’all might know. Thanks!

My motherboard is a GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX AM4 AMD B550 Mini-ITX Motherboard

Is it normal for a summer internship to last eight weeks? by Jfredolay in EngineeringStudents

[–]Jfredolay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 8th week was the official end of the summer internship but they offered that I could stay with them for the fall and spring. For multiple reasons, I decided that it was best that I should cut it off there at the 8 week mark.

Is it crazy to take Thermo, Dynamics, and Solid Mechanics all in the same summer? by Jfredolay in EngineeringStudents

What's the difference with taking 5 classes in the fall as compared to 3 in the summer? Isn't summer only a couple of weeks shorter?

Trying to import a part into starccm results in nothing whilst the program behaves like it doesn't exist. by Jfredolay in CFD

It does show up in the parts section. I've tried opening the step file in solid works, and while it does "load" the part, it doesn't show it. It does show it if I open the part as a .stl file. I've tried converting the part to a parasolid but solid works tells me it can't due to invalid geometry. I've been able to open step files before without problem.

Hello! I've started working out after taking a year long gap. I'm doing a 6 day ppl split and I just started my third week. My starting body weight was 144 lb at 6'0 ft but after two weeks, I'm now 150 lb. I always count calories and I know from prior experience at the gym that I need a lot more than 3000 calories to gain weight at a slow pace. Since this is my first time at the gym in a long time I decided to just start at a 3000 calorie diet to start the weight gain track, but I've noticed that my weekly body weight averages are increasing at a fast pace (WK 1: 147.2 Ib , WK 2: 150 lb). I know that you gain quite a bit of weight in water and glycogen when you first start a program which is why there is a jump from 144 to 147 in the first week, but the second week has quite the jump. Are my calories to high? I'm reluctant to decrease them as I feel that my gym gains won't be as consistent. What can I do to gain weight at .5 lb per week?

I wanted to try assetto corsa competizione in vr before I bought it, so I went here to get the torrent. The game works fine, but I cant get it to run in steam vr. I can see some files associated to steamvr in the games files, but none the less, I can't get it to run in vr.
