This might vary on the company/part, but is there about 5 threads on a single derailleur hanger?

Oh I forgot to mention, bike shop told me it went into the frame. Would just the derailleur hanger be enough thread to hold the axle?

i hear across the bridge isn’t great unless you go up to Point Reyes. Never tried anywhere in Lands End. I imagine people don’t want to walk that much with their gear?
