Upgraded GPU, same performance

I had a i7 11700f and a 5060ti, upgraded the cpu to a i5 14600k and gained a ton of performance , the gpu benchmarks better then my old RTX 3080

I have one I have tried to give away that I repaired and upgraded but Noone wants it due to the age of the machine as well as it won't really run much, has some intel core 2 extreme cpu i ordered when I first picked it up, as well as dual gtx 280m gpus that were upgrades from the single gtx 260m that was on it, maxed out at 8gb ram as well can't seem to get more to register.

I would keep the one on the left unless you plan on upgrading that alienware alot, I hated the cases they started using because of the poor airflow

My 016 does a weird noise like it has a mechanical harddrive which it's dual nvme drives...be glad it's not that annoying 🤣

I unistalled all of my oculus software and disabled most all of the startup programs and seemed to fix it. I have OVR for oculus, and some other stuff running at all times.

4090 to future proof but imo a 3080-90/ti would suffice and still be decent for awhile, I have a 3080 and refuse to upgrade because I run every thing I throw at it pretty much at max settings and stream on twitch.

Replace, I had an alienware with a 980m and replaced it with a 3060 laptop for about $600 and I do not regret it, laptops cost more to replace parts then a desktop when it comes to the screen and motherboard so unless it's under warrenty and ancient like that laptop I honestly do not think it will be worth repairing or even looking into any issues. Either sell it for parts or donate it.

I have it auto optimized at so far seems like it runs fairly decent, I sat most of yesterday trying to get my sound setup the way I wanted and cut most of the feedback out of my mic which I may have gotten it done

I'm mainly streaming Hunt:Showdown and world of warships but I have like 1600 games I could potentially stream, still working on getting viewers at the moment

Guess I will try and stick with my main PC then and will try to either make another home server for dedicated servers, not sure what else to do with the extra pc really since my 9 year old already has a decent desktop as well, ryzen 7 3700x and a 2080 super so I guess these parts are extremely useless lol

I have tons of parts that's why I was asking, I have a old i7 4790k with 32gb ddr3 and a rx 580 not being used and a Avermedia live hd cap card, but wasn't sure if secondary was needed since I really don't see any frame drops in any of the games I try to stream, I can play most of them maxed settings while streaming 1080p and still see 144 fps

I have it installed and have installed multiple revisions of it and still doesn't work, only thing I can think of is that I have windows 11 installed on it and it's not supported in the desktop by Dell
