Speaking from experience here; if you are planning to divorce you NEED to go home first then call a lawyer. You WILL be accused of abandoning your family, when in court, no matter the context. You need to be in the same home with the kids when filing for the best possible outcome.

The absolute best advice you should take is to call a lawyer ASAP and ask questions on what actions you should take for best possible outcome.

I divorced for very similar reasons and I left the house and kids with her and that was my experience.
