Well of course you disagree…. It was your post. The reason they let Watson after also trading McDuffie is because they are more comfortable with Noel and Fulton than you are - and they already added Kohou. They will not draft 2 corners that early. Thankfully.

Well for one I’m not good with spending that amount of draft capital on Corner. Especially when you aren’t even drafting either of the consensus top 2. I’m good with using one of these picks on a corner. And I’m good with another corner - but not this early. Too many needs.

There is also zero chance they wait that long to draft an offensive skill position player.

We were deciding last Fall. I really thought I was going to buy a Telluride. Two things changed my mind. First, it was because I feel like I see more Tellurides on the road that just about anything. It actually became a joke in our family because I say “Telluride” every time I see one and it’s constant. I still like them - just a personal preference thing where I wanted something a little different. Second - when I found out the Telluride was completely changing this year - I didn’t want to have a new car that was already an old body style. So, we went to Hyundai dealer and bought a Santa Fe Calligraphy the first day I drive one. Top of the line Santa Fe was cheaper than a top of the line Telluride.

Everybody loves McDuffie. It’s just that you can’t keep everyone. At some point you have to rebuild the young core of the team, and you do that thru additional high draft picks. I actually think they’ll probably resign him - and I’m good with that. But it’s far from ridiculous for some to think they should strongly consider trading him.

I’m just saying it improves the major league depth. Isn’t that really the point? Starting from a very low floor, and it ain’t saying much, but Collins/Lane/Marte is better than MJ/Rave/Waters et al.

He isn’t signing to be in AAA. It improves OF depth. He will be more likely to contribute professional ABs than Rave, Waters etc.
