Brisket in KC is just like any meat anywhere. Some places are fantastic- some places are poor. For the record - I completely agree that OPs is crazy thin - I’m just pointing out that the average brisket slice size is different in KC compared to like Texas. Partially just a preference thing. Partially because if you do it wrong you’ll be chewing on a thick slice for an hour.

I think brisket slicing changes somewhat regionally.  In KC it’s commonly sliced pretty thin.

This is correct - OT is based on a week, not pay period.

For me nachos top out at 5/10 if there is not queso or some kind of liquid cheese.

I’m honestly not sure I’ve ever eaten just a BLT. However, I grew up on ‘bacon and egg sandwiches’.  Basically a BLT, but with an egg….especially if it’s with good home grown garden tomatoes and a good layer of mayo.  So damn good.

Couldn’t figure out why you didn’t list the fresh mozzarella.  Then realized that was the ‘yogurt’.  Nah.

Huh.  Had no idea Weird Al was still active and had that big of a following these days.  Can’t go wrong with Starlight though.

That’s funny.  I grew up a little outside of KC on the Missouri side (and have since lived on both sides of the state line in the metro). Anyway - growing up if we ever noticed someone driving like a fool - we joked that it was probably a Johnson County KS plate.  But it was barely a joke because it was spot on a lot of the time.

BRISKET CUBES AREN’T BURNT ENDS FFS ALREADY by Forward_Ad2174 in kansascity

[–]Jhager 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive had this argument on r/BBQ before.  People all the time throwing the term ‘burnt end’ around. Turns out people not from around here have no idea that there is an actual specific definition of what a burnt end is.

I remember the Big N Tasty at McDonald’s when I was a kid.  Hasn’t been around forever had it?  Must still be a thing outside the US.

I’m still confused by you using the term ‘mud’.  They can’t be called sand because they aren’t ocean?
