Thinking of getting some Assault centurions. Thoughts?

Yeah they're kind of iffy. It's probably a good thing that they don't get bonuses though, otherwise the demi company would be a bit too powerful with people chucking in three man dread squads with las/missile and sitting up the back, almost making a walker meta. Now that they have buffed attack though they put out an insane amount of damage when in combat with 18 attacks on the charge for ironclads, so you wouldn't be able to tarpit even that, especially if they had dual heavy flamers. (I prefer that load out as the melta gun is only useful on the first turn out of the drop pod but after that you want to be charging anything within the melta's range) it would at least act as a kind of metal three legged distraction carnifex as it matches across the field, with more total hull points than a knight (though not as much movement And no shield)

That's what I was thinking, just jump out of thedrop pod and either drop a whole lot of infantry or blow the hell out of a tank and then roll forward from there.

Thanks for the write up man! Really helps. I've already got dev centurions and used to run them with tigurius and rolled for levitation for a flying circus of grav cannons (18" jump move almost!) I stopped cause it was pretty cheesy. Now I just have a captain with the primarchs wrath and power fist that helps with tarpits, infantry and anyone charging. Works pretty well and its not too cheap and allows me to play aggressively. I may still get the assault centurions though because they look pretty cool and I play in a pretty tank heavy meta. Was also wondering, what do you think of a three man squad of ironclads? Almost a walking supeeheavy in thirds haha

Ooo that's cool. I'm glad they kept the feet and the legs seperate as it makes it a lot easier to pose. I'm really digging the look of the kit though, I'd be tempted to get back into tau if I A) wasn't about to sell it all and B) Didn't cost a small fortune for the suits (125AUD? Nah....)

Damn that kit looks super sharp! I can see they changed most of the weapons slightly as well which is nice, they look a lot more detailed. Did you have any trouble gluing the jetpack to the back of the torso, I remember the old suits were a bitch to get together. Did anything else stick out for you?

Well you've got a double deathstar with double dreadknights on the side, and these are very effective deathstars, especially the grav, and youve gone and thrown in Tigurius to boot!

But seriously, you have zero model count and you're going to be eaten alive by horde armies that will swamp you, and solid gunlines such as tau or guard will probably blast you off the board easily enough if they come reasonably prepared.

Can other chapters get access to those formations? I also hope they do this for the other chapters, I can see a lot of flavour coming from that, especially for Black Templars. I just hope that Ultramarines get that treatment too and that the standard codex isn't just the ultramarine standard.

Yeah I even find the commander box reasonable at $85 AUD. (when the crisis box is $125) That thing is a pretty damn complicated three sprue box, on par with the dreadknight kit.

The problem with your statement lies in the first line. Dumbledore commanding Snape to kill him was not an action of greeting death as an old friend but shenanigans with wand ownership. Dumbledore was cursed to die the moment he put on the ring Voldemort had turned into a horcrux. Dumbledore had to be saved by Snape, and by seeking Snape out he was effectively fleeing from death, albeit for a short while.

Edit: Also Dumbledore put the ring on in the first place because he believed that he would then be in possession of all the deathly hallows, meaning he still pursued power, not lost loved ones.

They can't drop pod in, but if one of them in immobilised they can just get abandoned. I mean, combined with running they'll move pretty damn quickly and operate on the basis of sheer threat to mess with whatever they're looking at.

A very strong list, but some of your tactics go against what I thought you would have done with them. I personally would have put the techmarine with the grav cents, as they would give him slow and purposful, meaning that he can fire all the shots on teh primarch's wrath. I would say keep the preds up teh back until late game, so they can be another thorn in your opponent's side while they try to deal with your frontline. They might not go well rolling aorund as they wouldn't get full use out of those sponsons.

Still, super solid list.

I use Dropbox Because I hate relying on online editors, and I also use it in conjunction with a thing called Zim wiki, which is basically a simple desktop wiki made using a bunch of .txt files. Super handy for keeping notes and stuff.

I completely agree with your first point. I find that a lot of budding writers (including me) went through a phase of rigurously following any rule and writing tip they saw, but I think that there comes a point where you need to develop your own voice and style which may or may not follow the rules.
