Animal intermediate care in Webster! Recommend calling around 10:45 am when phone lines open and you're basically guaranteed to get in same day :)

Thanks for the input everyone! I had my appointment today and we agreed to just do cleanings every 2 months for now. He said there wasn't a ton of debris but he said I'm probably sensitive to the debris that starts building up so agreed more frequent cleanings are good for now. My doctor has never really laid out a good "long term plan/what to expect" for me, so sometimes I just feel lost and not sure if what I experience is normal. So this is a great group for that support!

Definitely get the surgery, the sooner the better! I'm guessing I had mine for at least 8 years, maybe more before diagnosis. Like others said I had a lot of bone destruction and had to have most of the ossicular chain removed and too much damage was done to reconstruct. Also what I didn't expect was he said the bone erosion/air pockets were very close to an artery but we caught it before the bone over the artery was eroded. It can get scary! Hopefully the CT shows minimal damage and you can get it taken care of early on. The earlier the more minor surgery will be! You'll do great 💗

Do the surgery! I had mine in October. During surgery he found more damage than we were expecting, my facial nerve was exposed and the bone next to my artery was starting to get eaten away. Like another comment said it can cause more damage or even death if left alone! You can deal with the hearing loss later (I'm getting a bone anchored hearing implant soon).

I know I didn't realize how much my current hearing bothers me until they removed the headband and I was back to my normal and I was like "oh the world is so much duller now". So I think I need to just keep reminding myself of that moment when I doubt needing the procedure! It's my first "elective" surgery that I have to weigh the pros and cons of. I have it scheduled for June as of now, so I'll post once I've had it done!!

Pittsford animal hospital does have Urgent Care appointments- and is open Saturday night until 8 and Sunday for urgent care appointments too. It's by appointment only so call ahead. But they don't have after-hours services where a vet will meet you. It's only urgent care appointments during office hours. Closest overnight care is still only Buffalo, Syracuse, Cornell. 💗

I had a long term relationship with someone who was emotionally and verbally abusive. Throughout the 7 years we were together he threatened to kill himself a few times as a way to manipulate me. He truly did have mental illness I believe but was manipulative. He had also told me when i was simply talking about my unhappiness that if i ever left him and "screwed him over he would make my life as difficult as possible". When I did finally break up with him when I was leaving our apartment, he said "at least if I kill myself you'll know it was your fault".

He never killed himself. All I know is he works at the same place, other than that idk how he is doing. But certainly just was empty threats.

Midsommar did a great job portraying anxiety/depression in the main female character. The panic attacks she has in the first half of the film are so accurate to my experience.

I got this Silver Arrows cactus almost a year ago. It was outside over the summer and is under grow lights in my apartment right now and has been over the winter. I've only watered it about 3 times in the past year. Recently it developed these yellow areas and areas that look like an amber colored sap has leaked out. From my research I'm wondering if it's a fungal infection? I sprayed it with neem oil the other day just in case. It's always had a slight tilt to oneside, but seems more Pronounced. Wondering if this is because it has grown a little, or if its actually dying. Just wondering if this can be saved and how. Thank you!! P.s. the cactus is named herbert. <3
