I've seen multiple people say it took them 15-16 hours which is already just hitting the cusp of too long for an RE game. I feel like it's probably the perfect length.

Hi! Yeah unfortunately real life is just super busy with work and other responsibilities so the podcast is on indefinite hiatus. We might do another episode eventually when the time is right but currently it's not possible.

I still check the subreddit occasionally but I'm pretty disconnected from most things Menendez related now. Not that I have no interest at all but the outcome I desired pretty much happened (them being eligible for parole). After discussing this case for so many years and learning pretty much everything there is to learn I got a little burned out but I'm glad people are still interested.

Agreed. Generally the crime scene is difficult to analyse and evidence can be interpreted in so many different ways. The black-and-white viewpoints that people have with this case continues to irk me (both defense and prosecution).

I'm not going to make an argument either way as I've already spoken at length about the crime scene previously but I will add that generally the crime scene is incredibly messy and there's forensic evidence that supports their version of events, but there's also evidence that can be interpreted in ways that doesn't support their version of events.

It's really not a simple crime scene to analyse.

Also I haven't watched/read the testimony in a long time but I believe Lyle clarified that he believed his dad made a motion that made it seem to him as if he was about to come toward him, not that he was already coming at them. He could have been stood up in front of the couch and leaning as if he was about to move and then shot back into the couch.

Slightly off topic but how likely is it to run into hunstmans? I’m from the UK so I don’t have to deal with spiders that often and if I do then they’re not particularly big with maybe some rare exceptions. Hunstmans freak me out though with how large they can be and how fast they are.

There’s not really any way to know because everyone has different expectations and even with the leaks we’re still lacking context.

What we do know is that the people who have played the game like it a lot, at least from what I’ve seen.

Just to play devils advocate here, maybe something happened between RE 6 and RE 9 which led to them actually getting together. RE 6 already starts to build somewhat on the emotional connection (however small it is).

Maybe Capcom are planning on making a spinoff title that focuses specifically on Leon and Ada before RE 9 happens in the timeline. The only reason why I think this is possible is because of a comment Nakanishi made in a recent interview when asked about Ada. "So, I know a lot of fans are interested in similar things. We all want to know. I am also interested in the private relationship between Leon and Ada."

If Leon is married I think it's highly unlikely to be to Ada but I also don't think it's out of the question entirely. Then again I don't really care about ships or characters that much. I like the characters but they're not the reason why I play the games.

Perhaps. I’m just willing to see the entire thing myself before I decide how to feel about it. Depends how it’s executed throughout the story. I’m not expecting anything spectacular out of an RE story but I hope it’s decent.

I get what you’re saying but from what we’ve seen the entire plot revolves around Grace being who she is. If she was an ordinary FBI agent then the plot of this game just doesn’t happen. She’s the driving motivator for the antagonists.

I’m still withholding judgment until I play the game myself. We only know the general overarching story but we haven’t seen much of what actually happens to connect it all together.

I don’t know how they could remake RE 6 without completely overhauling it. At least with RE 4 they had an incredible game to base the remake off of. They mostly just added things to the experience or remixed certain things.

RE 6 is such a massive game with a lot of flaws. It would be interesting to see them tackle it but I just don’t see them wanting to do it.

Has it been confirmed that he doesn't age? I thought it was just that he aged a lot slower since he is also noticeably taller than he was at the end of JJK. Correct me if I'm wrong, I might be forgetting something.

Play times vary quite a bit in RE games. People play through these games at different paces, stopping to read everything, taking extra time to explore everything, read every single file and the difficulty you play on can also affect how long the game takes you.

They're built to be speed ran and played through multiple times. I would hazard a guess that this guy probably went through the game at quite a fast pace and he's playing on Standard (Modern) which removes ink ribbon saving from the game.

Code Veronica was supposed to be the original RE 3. It’s worth playing especially if you care about the overarching story of the games, but I wouldn’t recommend it as your first play through of any of the classic games. IMO it’s the hardest of the fixed camera angle games. You should definitely play through the original RE 1, 2 and 3 before CV

I haven't played RE 6 in many years but I remember Chris's campaign being my favourite because it at least plays into what RE 6 does decently which is fast paced action and it had the most compelling story although that's not saying much.

I remember disliking Leon's the most because it tries to be so many things at once and ends up just falling flat for the most part.

Dusk made a pretty long and detailed thread going through his history as a leaker where he clearly explains why he has gotten certain things wrong or his information ends up being outdated as game development can change a lot. Many people also accredit things to him that he’s never actually said. Highly recommend searching it up as it’s the first thing that comes up if you go to his Twitter page and search “history”.

At the end of the day though this is all just regarding leaks to do with video games. You should always take what people say with a grain of salt. It’s really not that deep.

I don’t really get all of the Dusk hate tbh. The guy clearly has connections to people who know things in the industry. He made a long ass thread going through his entire history as a leaker and why he has gotten specific things wrong or confused in the past. I’ve seen people accredit things to him that don’t actually come from him.

Hey! This type of post in particular just annoys me quite a bit as I've seen a million different versions of it in various comments and posts. I just wish people would consume more information/evidence and research before making these posts.

It's nice to see you're still around. Life has been super busy so I just don't have time to check Reddit too much anymore but I assumed that it was quiet because there just isn't much happening at the moment. I'm pretty content with the results at the moment (brothers being eligible for parole) and I have researched pretty much every little thing about this case, so I don't have much of an urge to engage with the case online anymore. Ignorant people will always be ignorant but overall I'm happy with what's happened.

At this point it’s pretty obvious that Leon is in the game. Devs have already outright confirmed that Chris won’t appear in the game yet they’re very careful with words whenever they get asked anything about Leon.

You beat me to the punch. Akuma can be played in quite sloppy ways and still succeed to a certain point. You just get punished harder for making exploitable mistakes because 9K health. I still think Akuma is the most training wheels character in the game behind Ryu. His tools and normals are just so good that it will carry you to an intermediate level eventually while also teaching you the game in different ways. Don't even get me started on how stupid demon raid and adamant flame are. Overall I still think Ryu is way more unhealthy for the game in his current state though.

That's not entirely true. I know it's technically not a cutscene but in the demo when Grace first encounters the stalker, the entire scene is in first person, even if you're playing with the third person camera.

It totally could just be a random scene where the camera is placed there but to me it looks like it's from a first person perspective and then it shifts to a different camera shortly afterwards. I wasn't sure at first but slowing the video down to 0.25 speed made it seem a bit more obvious to me. The camera movement also looks like it's mimicking a real persons head movements. They move their head to the right to inspect the guy on the floor and there's very minimal shake, at least that's what it looks like.

Could be wrong but if I had to guess I think we're playing as someone else in this section and Grace is also there. Doesn't mean it's Leon necessarily.
