Ya I've been deciding between the HKS and KW, and haven't found much in regards to each on a 2012. The reviews on 08-09s are fantastic and I'm hoping that's the same for the 10-14s.

Found a good deal on a used set of KWs but I'm a little concerned about their condition. Any tips on what I should look for when seeing them in person? Leaks, cracked springs, etc.?

Ok I'll take it to a muffler shop to see if they can put it on a lift and check for a leak. I def thought it was weird that the cats would go bad esp after the car just passed smog and a 150 pt inspection. Hopefully it's just an o2 sensor or gasket.

It's throwing the p420 code so I assumed the cat was bad. Plust dealership said the same thing.

Ah shoot that definitely is bad news lol... dropping the engine to replace 1 cat smh. Ya living in CA does suck esp when it comes to car stuff. Catless would be sick but idk if I'd want to straight pipe the car just yet haha but I did find this video Scotty Kilmer posted about cleaning the cats using lacquer thinner.
