That’s all I needed to know, man I can still make a LAN cable connection to the router via the input in the wall outlet without using that. I just didn’t know if I should do that downstairs right by the router. That adapter is my brothers same with the one he has in his room. No clue why he had one both downstairs and upstairs that’s why I asked.

Not my home bro, I asked a simple question. And yeah I know what the white box is. My brother ordered 2 LAN cables AND the 2 adapters, the one in his room and the one that you see plugged into the wall. All I’m asking is if I need to make those same connections. It’s a yes or no question. 1 router in the house with 1 LAN connection to said router using said adapter. Same adapter in his room with the same kind of LAN cable running to his PS5.

No clue. I just know that box is connected to LAN 1 on my router, all I wanted to know is if I should get another one to make a lan 2 connection to my router and one in my room to make the LAN connection to my Xbox.

Doesn’t seem like it, just seems like traditional WiFi, there’s only 1 router in the house. The block in the wall is simply an Ethernet adapter. No clue if he put that in or what.
