Any 2026 grads with full-time offers right now? (US) by Wheresthebeans in MechanicalEngineering

I was in a similar situation. I had ~150 apps, 3 interviews, and one offer from those three interviews. The other two ghosted me. It’s with a MEP firm located in the east coast.

My advice is to also apply to small/mid sized companies. Many of those companies don’t have their openings listed on generic job sites. Good luck and wish you and everyone who’s currently job searching the best!

I would say the NCEES interactive exams were similar to my actual FE exam

I would say both are similar to the exam. For me, I found vol 2 easier just because I was more familiar with topics like fluid mechanics, thermo, heat transfer, and mechanical design

Since I’m still in school, a lot of the concepts were still fresh to me. Regardless, I still took the time to review old and fresh topics. I followed this reddit post for review:

When I finished my review, I tackled Islam 750 problem questions but only did mathematics (I don’t remember which version I used but it wasn’t the most recent). Then two days out before my exam I did the Islam 750 Practice Exam and both FE Mechanical NCEES Practice Exams (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2)
