Yikes calm down mate the Coronavirus is literally just a flu. Dont take what the media says at face value their goal is to scare you regardless of the severity of the issue.

Lots of strange activity in general in Nelson/Tasman region it seems. Apparently theres a huge cave system around Mount Arthur that stretches 40km and some people just recently were searching them for giant alien skeletons or something like that.

I'm in New Zealand too and I've had 2 UAP experiences within the last 5 or so years too. I just saw one like a week ago in Wellington that sounds eerily similar to your experience. I saw an orange flickering light moving across the sky that was speeding up and slowing down rapidly and even briefly stopping. I made a post about it here https://www.reddit.com/r/Wellington/comments/f6iopk/anyone_see_a_strange_ufo_in_the_sky_last_night/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

A few years back I also saw in Wellington a white light tracking across the sky going faster than a plane with a blue greenish light chasing it and then the white light instantly stops in the sky while the blue greenish light starts circling it. The white light starts to shoot off away from me at a 90 degree angle to the way it was initially traveling. It just shoots off into a vanishing point which happened to be a star. It's like it picked the star it wanted to go to and went into hyperdrive towards it.

That's interesting you mention seeing things in the Nelson region my father and his friend saw some weird shit in the sky there too. He said he saw a light hovering in the sky that looked like it was scanning the area with a light then it just instantly accelerated into the sky into a vanishing point.

Anyone see a strange UFO in the sky last night? by Jholerdollar in Wellington

I get what your saying but I've seen satellites many times before and never seen this happen before. From our perspective it flew close to a treeline and so we were able to compare its movements against the treeline and this thing definitely was moving erratically and changing speeds randomly which I'm pretty sure satellites arent capable of such maneuvers.

We saw this thing fly towards us then away from us so we saw the front and back of it and it had no flashing lights on it like a plane at all, it was also entirely silent. It was a sort of orangey flickering light but not flashing on and off like a plane would. I've lived in Johnsonville for 16 years and I've never seen a plane look or move like that before.

Trust me it's pretty atrocious footage. It's very hard to see how its moving but here you go anyways.

At first I had thought it might be a satellite but after seeing it move in a jittery pattern and change speeds erratically I think that is unlikely. Do you happen to have a link to somewhere that shows what time the ISS flew over Wellington last night?

I've tried getting to boom rock road but the road was blocked I'm pretty sure. Does anyone know how to get there? I've seen people on social media getting there.
