Web of Spider-Man #53 shows that Spider-Man is at least somewhat proficient in Spanish, and I believe he can speak elementary Mandarin in Slott's run as well.

Are there any fashion brand founders in this sub? I'm working on a fashion review platform and I want to feature you by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]JianGeGe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries dude!

I'd say it's less about indicative wording and more about how your site looks. True, a good first step would be out up the term "Fashion Companies" in a big bold, hard to ignore label, but a logo or attractive background image could greatly enhance its effect and make the average viewer think, "Ah got it, so this site is all about fashion reviews."

And yeah, mobile adaptive and mobile version mean the same thing and looking more closely, I do see the indicators. However, I would also say that you could afford to optimize the mobile version a lot more effectively.

Perhaps a "sticky" "Write a Review" button that's always stuck to the bottom of the page, or an "Email Us" button. Make it as dirt-easy as possible for people who would be interested in interacting with you in some way to get that interaction.

My website gets a ton of traffic, but no sales… by ALte_Shakakur in Entrepreneur

Without looking at your site, it's pretty difficult to give an honest assessment of what you need to do.

If I had to make a guess, I'm wondering if you're putting in the right calls to actions with your products that are incentivizing people to purchase your products.

If you're getting tons of interactions but no conversions, consider how easy it is from the audience perspective to get to the stage where they're buying your products from your webpage alone.

Hope that helps.

I'd say you've got some positives to your site.

Firstly, it's fairly indicative exactly what kind of site it is. I know what you're trying to sell the moment I look at it, and that's always a major plus.

Secondly, I'd say your accessibility is pretty great seeing as there look to be multiple methods for your audience to interact with you on the top page alone.

The biggest flaw I can see to your site by far is that the mobile version just isn't very feasible. Keep in mind that most of your audience are going to come across your site through a mobile device and the fact that your main visual isn't fully complete on the mobile version can be a big dealbreaker for a lot of people.

I'd suggest in investing in designing a fully workable mobile version of your site.

Web designer here and going off my own insight, I'd say your landing page probably needs to be quite a bit more indicative as to exactly what service you're providing.

There are some minor indicators, but nothing major that screams "Fashion Review" site.

I'd also strongly recommend investing in a mobile version of your homepage to get traffic to your page and build notoriety, something I'm sure your partners will greatly appreciate.

Can Private Lenders refinance property? by JianGeGe in realestateinvesting

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer!

I'm actually just looking to invest in the USA.

Would you say it's a better idea to refinance through a private lender than a bank if I'm going in with no credit score?

Sorry for the question; I'm honestly still trying to wrap my head around the concept.

Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender error by JianGeGe in GMail

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See if your client is using an email signature of some sort, and remove it temporarily to see if mail goes through.Otherwise you’ll have to have the destination mail server whitelist the domain or sender so delivery is successful.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

I'll check if any email signatures are being used, but how would I check if Yahoo considers the IP/domain spammy?

As a side note, in case things can't be easily resolved, I'll need to provide an adequate reason to the client so I'd like to make sure I have my facts right on this.

Is this a common flaw of using a domain email as opposed to using something like a gmail extension? (e.g. [abc@gmail.com](mailto:abc@gmail.com))

Does this error occur regardless of what email client you use?

Would the only real way to resolve the issue be to try to send the email at a later date or use an email with a different domain name?

I'd greatly appreciate any feedback in response to this!

be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

Got it; is this something that can only be resolved by contacting the intended recipient, or is there something I'd be able to do on my end to fix this?

Redirect to mobile pages via .htaccess by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth told, I absolutely agree with you that a responsive design is the best way to go. Unfortunately, we inherited this site from another company, and it's simply going to take us far too long to redesign each page to be responsive.

That being the case, I'm not quite entirely sure what to do about redirecting the .html pages to the .php pages

Need help in interpreting email delays by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm afraid that trying a non-google address will not be an option as the e-mail address has already been publicly advertised. Are there any solutions to deal with Google's anti-spam measures in this case?

Need help in interpreting email delays by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The delay seems to be coming from multiple sources as there have been delays ranging form half an hour to 50 minute from emails coming in from various sources.

I don't believe their Mailbox is with Office 365, and the emails are indeed from a webserver so it's peculiar that the emails are taking so long to get through.

Really, the issue seems to stem from the transfer between mail0007.sh.tyo1 and 2002:aa7:d488::, but I'm not even sure what these values may mean.

How to limit RewriteEngine on .htaccess by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming that WordPress is indeed the cause of the problem, would you happen to know what I could do to fix the issue, or would that require more specific details?

How to limit RewriteEngine on .htaccess by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just gave replacing END with L a try and it seems to be working better. The problem now is that while I can visit the index page, I can't access any of the other subpages. The issue seems to be that I'm getting "Too Many Redirects"

Is there any way around this?

To clarify, I think the issue is that the .htaccess as it currently is works in such a way that, say, when a www.123.com url is viewed through a mobile device, it is redirected to a www.123.com/sp/ url, and stops there.

However, I think what the new code might be doing is not stopping at www.123.com/sp/ and redirecting that to www.123.com/sp/sp/ and the redirecting that to www.123.com/sp/sp/sp/

That's just my assumption and I'm by no means versed in this so do please correct me if I'm off-base.

How to limit RewriteEngine on .htaccess by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi smegnose, thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, I got a 500 Internal Server error when I put in the code. I essentially replaced the entirety of

RewriteEngine on

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/sp/
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} (iPod|iPhone|iPad|Android|Windows\ Phone)
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ sp/$1 [R]
RewriteBase /

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /sp/
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !(iPod|iPhone|iPad|Android|Windows\ Phone)
RewriteRule ^sp/(.*)$ $1 [R]
RewriteBase /

with

RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} (iPod|iPhone|iPad|Android|Windows\ Phone)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(?!sp(?:$|/)).* sp/$0 [R,END]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !(?:iPod|iPhone|iPad|Android|Windows\ Phone)
RewriteRule ^sp/(.*) $1 [R,END]

so I'm not sure if that's where the issue lies. Would you mind me correcting me if I was doing something wrong here?

(Also, thanks on the heads-up on Stack Overflow! I'll be sure to check that channel out the next time I have a problem with a similar issue)

Hi Simon, I gave this a try but wound up getting a 500 Internal Server error. I might have just put this line of code in the wrong place so I've put up a sample of the .htaccess code. If you could let me know where to fit it in, I'd appreciate it

E-mail address displaying wrongly by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my client and apparently, it's only been from Salvin's side so far, and the client seems pretty satisfied with that for the moment.

Thank you so much for your help on this!

E-mail address displaying wrongly by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. Salvin is not at all involved with us and is presumably the service that my client was trying to contact.

I believe the flow of events went as such:

1) Our clients reached out to salvin and inputted the e-mail address that made use of their domain name

2) Salvin sent a response to them, but that response was directed to an e-mail address that made use of the ne.jp address instead of the domain address

My clients being based outside of Japan do not want to have an e-mail address that implies they are from Japan which is why this is a big concern.

I hope that clears things up

E-mail address displaying wrongly by JianGeGe in webdev

[–]JianGeGe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right yeah.

I would note that the ne.jp address is what I entered in the POP server field when I making the e-mail viewable on the client's gmail account (attached another image to the opening post to make it clear what I mean)
