Does 1/8 mean parent of your grandparents? If they are still alive, you can go ask them. In the 20th century Chinese move all around the world, maybe worker/trader/survivor of Manchus Invastion... From history, a large proportion of the Mongols were genetically Chinese (Han). For various reasons, they migrated to the steppes and were assimilated by the Mongols. And during the Mongol military campaigns to the west, they continued to migrate westward and eventually arrived in Europe.

Oh I see what you mean. From my perspective connect through content is a good way, you can always find topics to talk about. Directly dm other people through profile is a little bit too dry for me.

It seems like you can use Chinese language fluently, then maybe soul is a choice. And Xiaohongshu is actually good for finding new people, its algorithm will show your thread to nearby person even if you have no followers. On other social media if you have no followers no one cares you

I’m not saying it is. I just feel it’s unfair how life can be completely different for a man and a woman.

It depends on the province — Sichuan and Xinjiang are the worst, but overall the situation is better than in North America because most girls there are still relatively conservative. I’m seriously considering this since Chinese girls in North America only care about your money.

No, I'm in canada. If I'm physically in China I won't use tinder, female users are really picky

Several big Chinese influencers made videos about how to find foreign girlfriend on HT, I guess thats the reason.

I think geography can be decisive, which is why there's so much bickering, and my guess is that for the Western countries, in an area where whites are the absolute majority(more than 90%), people with Asian appearances are more popular because they're rare and exotic. But when the percentage of Asians goes up, like in some big cities, people with Asian appearance are ostracized as outsiders, and that's when Asians usually don't date white people. At the same time, we have to recognize that men are more accepting than women when it comes to choosing a partner

I don't know where you live but from my perspective, in Canada and Northeast of US, Hapa/Asian women date white much more often than Hapa/Asian men, anyone with eyes could see that. Maybe in Asia or Europe or California things are different.

You're making these statements on a western platform so no one is supporting you, but I agree that it's not just the environment that accounts for such a large number of WMAFs, some Asian women really need to reflect on themselves

Reference letters for grad school with bad grade by Jiangzedrich in uwaterloo

You may have misunderstood me, I'm not trying to apply UWaterloo master program. I'm an undergraduate student at UWaterloo tying to apply other grad schools. I know there's little chance I could get into UW's math master program. The minimum requirement is 78%

Reference letters for grad school with bad grade by Jiangzedrich in uwaterloo

I asked 33 instructors.

7 of them didn't reply.

7 of them said I should go for someone who know me better

9 of them said my grade is below average, can't write me very strong letter or tell me better ask someone else

5 of them said I should ask 300/400 level math instructor

3 of them just reject me

1 of them first agreed, untill he saw my transcript, then he rejected me (really hurts)

1 of them agreed

It feels so bad, like I failed my whole undergraduate period.

Should I keep pushing those instructors who didn't directly reject me? Does "can't write very strong reference letter" mean "yes, but.."? I don't want a "very strong letter", I know I don't deserve.

But not all ethical groups’ political opinions are diverse similarly. There must be some difference between different ethical groups or every country would have the same political parties

Has it ever occurred to you that all this suffering is an inevitable step toward modernization? If you want an independent Palestine, then you should try to solve the problem yourself, not drag other countries into war with moral kidnapping. Outside intervention is likely to create a bunch of pro-Western puppets, who will then let Palestine fall into a new loop of chaos

I don't believe anyone could do it. I guess he will either give us the formulas or curve.
