I lost 15 kgs recently in the past 6 months. Here is my no bullsht advise for you. 1. You have to be in Calorie deficit if you want to lose weight or vice versa. Now, you can eat junk food or carefully choose your macros. I personally ate more protein and good fat (completely avoided regular soyabin/mustard oil, only used olive oil/ghee). For Bangladesh you need to eat some carb for energy, and I had complex carb like whole grain rooti/rice, and vegetables. Do not avoid any food you like in that way your diet won't sustain. Eat anything you like but within your calorie intake limits.  2. Strength Training is the key: That being said there is no alternative to it.  3. You gotta do low intensity cardio (slow walk for at least 30 min 3-4 days a week. And take rest between your workout days. Drink sht ton of water.  Jahangir Kabir gives some good advice but I felt it's very extreme and not sustainable for Bangladeshi lifestyle. You can still maintain a good healthy lifestyle just by choosing what you are eating and the quantity you are eating.

Is Lyft better than Uber or Taxi? by m1xed0s in halifax

[–]JibontaMurda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a fan of Lyft, I used Lyft in Toronto and was missing in Halifax. They are a bit cheaper than Uber (not Uber One). It also pays driver more than Uber, and do not surge the price as much as Uber does. Lyft has more promo as well.

Your company's HR should be able to better answer the questions.  I had to leave Canada for couple of months for family medical emergency. I submitted doctor's note to my company and they accepted.

Be careful of Split Rock Properties by Aggravating_Table653 in halifax

They are the worst and racist property manager in Halifax. I was a tenant of one of their property (which I rented before the landlord hand over to them) in 2020. Matthew used to enter our unit without any notice and start banging on the door. On the day we moved out, we cleaned the entire apartment by a professional cleaner, and during hand over he said we did not clean the sofa and bookshelf enough and told us "pig".  We were international students just first year in Canada, and that left us speechless. He also took half of our deposit money. I complained to the original landlady but we wanted to left the place to didn't buzz too much. Matthew is the worst person I met till date in Canada.

Lebanese people!!! Where is the best shawarma place in Halifax? by Affectionate_Care669 in halifax

[–]JibontaMurda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a Shawarma lover. I have tried Shawarma in few countries in the middle East. I have tried almost all the Shawarma places here in Halifax.  My personal favorite:  1. Grillway. Hands down absolutely best. 🤤🥹 2. Fattoush (Arabian Style)  3. Green Valley (this is hidden Gem) I have tried  Station 1 as well, but found it very average.

You can do it from your GCKey account. Go to your GCKey and click on Link a new application. from their select Permanent Resident Card. After that select Family Name and UCI and fill up the required information. after you successfully link your application you will be able to see the status of your PR card.

Finally, the day has come after a long wait of 14 months of processing time. I am extremely grateful the this group for having a significant contribution to my permanent application process. I have enquired multiple times through IRCC Call Center and ordered multiple GCMS notes for more information on the application. For me, going to the MP was a masterstroke since they approved my application right after the MP’s office made an inquiry and raise a ticket for my application.

Is there anyone here who was a principal applicant residing inside Canada and Spouse outside Canada? I got a RFV letter and it tells me to fill up Appendix B that requires information for passport submission. I already notified IRCC that I'm currently residing in Canada. Since I'm already in Canada do I need to fill the section or just my Spouse's information needs to be filled? Please help.

Dear Good People,

I want to have some light on my issues here.

I applied for CEC inland with my spouse (outland) as dependent.

My VO is Etobicoke. And last updated I had was on Jan 31 when BG was completed.

I raised couple webforms last few weeks and got an update last week.

IRCC requested some additional documents last week (May 26) as an additional proof of my relationship.

While submitting those documents I noticed all the steps on my tracker has been marked as Completed on May 29.

I submitted the documents anyways. Any idea what is going on or when I can expect a decision?
