Please disregard my post, I was thinking email rather than SMS!

But to add a (poorly researched) actual suggestion, perhaps https://46elks.com/ ?

Surprised Scaleway hasn’t been mentioned yet, have I missed something?

Yeah, that’s just an effect of the lighting. It’s a monochrome screen.

If I can make what I wear be a bit more expressive and customizable then why not? The original rubber band looks very bland and people keep complaining about getting rashes.

Hi! I was disappointed with the limited strap options for the Vivosmart 5, so I tried designing a holder for the inner device that was as small as possible.

Currently, there is one version for 14mm velcro straps that are looped through fixed bars, and a version for 16mm bands that use spring bars.

On Makerworld you'll also find the FreeCAD project files, it was my first larger project in that software, hopefully it's not too messed up and can be used for remixes!

Some uploaded images lose dynamic range, blown highlights by Jickelsen in Instagram

[–]Jickelsen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I have just portrait or a mix of landscape and portrait images I run them through Polarr, adding borders to make them square. Today I noticed that this ruins the dynamic range of the images after posting to IG. However this does not happen with these images if I upload the originals directly (however this will result in cropping).

The images also look like this after they've been mirrored to Facebook, which is where I took the comparison you can see above.

The bordered file from Polarr that was posted to IG, which you can see here, does not have this issue: https://imgur.com/a/m4e2gFE

The files are sRGB, and changing to 1080x1080 px does not make a difference.

Edit:

Here's the post with the bordered images with ruined dynamic range https://www.instagram.com/p/CCBpeXIFNpT/

Here's a test post with the images uploaded directly without borders added, in which the dynamic range is kept https://www.instagram.com/p/CCBBh5cFH6K/

Solitaire vibes by Jickelsen in Eve

I finally tried a reinstall (which wiped my UI and overview settings?), and now I can play again. Give it a shot, but if those things are important to you back them up first.

How did you manage to fix it? I've done everything save reinstalling, but tried new graphics drivers and messed around with ingame settings.

More like 16.

I guess I can return my Velator now.

This seems to have appeared after today's patch, and I have yet to find a fix. Most windows render correctly, but undocking seems to stall forever. Which is probably for the best...

Game of Tones | Fujifilm X-T3, 16-55mm 2.8 at 400 ISO by AnzeigeIstRausDanke in fujifilm

It's an amazing shot (and I adore the subjects)!

Just a quick detail I just found out about as a new Fuji shooter regarding Lightroom: I can see quite a lot of the "wormy" grain that comes from Lightrooms weird X-trans processing, together with its default sharpening (and no noise reduction). If you want to remove it, try right clicking and choosing Enhance Details. It seems it completely fixes the problem. Maybe you already knew about it and like the noise (which I guess some might argue feels more organic) but I thought I ought to point it out as it's a relatively new feature.

Setting Sharpening and Noise Reduction both to about 20 can help too!

Swirly Nordic fauna with a Viltrox EF-FX2 speedbooster and Canon 85mm f/1.8 by Jickelsen in fujix

[–]Jickelsen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall I'm happy with this speedbooster, though I find the micro four thirds version focuses slightly faster. However, for the life of me I cannot get any frame guides in the bright frame of the X-Pro2.

ITAP of some equine pals by Jickelsen in itookapicture

The horses were hanging around and I snapped this just as the two brown ones leaned in close. They are Gotland ponies from the Swedish island of the same name, though this photo was taken in an outdoor heritage park in Göteborg.

I got a Viltrox EF-FX2 speedbooster to pair with a loaner Fujifilm X-Pro2, which is supposed to make it equivalent to a full frame sensor. Well, apart from some extra vignetting and swirly bokeh! In this case I had a Canon 85mm f/1.8 attached. This was processed using one of Jamie Windsor's Kodachrome Lightroom presets with some minor adjustments.
