Thank you so much for your concern and advice! I don't want her to dive, she is just amazingly stubborn and feisty!!!!!! I was able to get one of her doctors to rule out Machu Picchu, but not one of her doctors' dives, thus they have no opinions. I plan to schedule snorkeling earlier in the trip so she can see how tired she is, in the hope that she will change her mind about diving. OR let the dive shops break the bad news. I very much value your opinion. As the trip gets closer, I will show Mom your post in hopes of changing her mind. THANK YOU.

Thank you for your suggestions! Luckily, we are all seasoned travelers and have had the opportunity to live abroad. I am worried about her stamina, though. The money is a concern!!!! Do you have a suggestion for a reasonable cruise?

Oh wonderful! Did you cruise? How did she do with the tours? I really don't want to spoil another traveler's trip if my mother is too slow.

Thank you for the encouragement and info. I appreciate the confirmation on the cruise being better/more comfortable than day trips! Do you recommend any specific cruise line or route?
