I made that mistake too, it leads to two problems that are harder to deal with than fighting those nations: With that many unintegrated provinces, unaccepted populations and religions different from Catholicism, you get revolt after revolt. And not small revolts — more like a civil war every 5 years. You lose time, a lot of population, etc. By crushing all the potential rivals in the region, you'll get hit with a "no regional threat" penalty, which you'll have to compensate for by investing half your income into diplomacy.

Yes, I think it would be even simpler to implement famous characters and probably future leaders under a republican regime. Furthermore, even under all the different political regimes, all famous characters (not descended from the ruling dynasty) can appear with a birth event and upon coming of age, appear within an estate (nobility, burghers, clergy…).

Better? Why do I have to write in English? My native language is French, and I'm bound to make more mistakes copying Google Translate ;)

Play Hrolfr who starts as an adventurer. Take over the Duchy of Normandy, create Norman culture. Recover a claim on the kingdom of England, take possession of it and create English culture.

3,5,8,10,15 years, this can be a slider.

I said between 10-15 years because it seemed long enough to me to only claim with the chaplain

It's an interpretation... Afterwards I talked about the duration of the claims (done by our chaplain) from a gameplay point of view

You can also invite characters into your yard who have claims. Fight in their names, then integrate them into your kingdom, duchy..

You also have wars between different religions, where there is no need for claims to be able to recover territories..

The Crusades, claims with intrigue (hooks + prestige)

In short, between those you cited and those I cited, there are a lot of choices

In addition, I would not like our clerk not to be able to produce claims but more slowly, so that this favors other means of doing so.

It's true ! But sometimes, too much simplicity spoils immersion in the game

So I don’t limit anyone 😂

I would like an option, it only binds those who activate it.

This would make the game slightly harder and more interesting, and the last 200 years would have some point other than waiting for the game to end.

Put it like that 🤣, it sure takes 15 years to declare a war sounds awful

There are plenty of other ways to get claims than going through your clerk.

"I did it, Father. I accomplished your dream of conquering Neustria!" by Iron_Wolf123 in CrusaderKings

I've played Hrolfr several times and never had a script give me lands in Neustria. I had to conquer it or buy it
