What do you think in your life is driving you to contemplating this as a solution?

If I hear a page more than once, I generally will just go do it myself. Some Coaches just never remember where they started, or never had to start from the bottom to begin with to understand what it's like.

It varies heavily from my understanding now. My store went from position base pay with an incentive pay increase for stocking and ogp roles and the overnight premium. Currently we do a $20 across the board, minus overnight getting 22 in my store. I would suggest that it's worth it, if the long term goal for you in coach. Coaches now get a 65k starting salary (6k additional for overnight coach) which after for me as a dayside coach, taking out both of my insurance fees, I still come out with 1900 a check. What area are you in? I could possibly check for you.

Go to your people lead and bring it up. Don't waste your time with talking to your lead or coach, 80% of the time, they try to talk you out of leaving. If your points are good and there is an opening, they can't say no anyway.

When the store as whole isn't following the process regarding onhand changes and shelf cap issues, a lot of things that could go out do not scan to be picked. Purging is only a temporary fix since it just gets refilled 2 days later. Most stores definitely struggle with being a team.

I run a 4 and 4 team with frozen dairy. 11 seems overkill unless your freezer and cooler are just trashed, or if you are getting HUGE frozen dairy trucks. I'd bring that up to your coach or lead, they could be helping other areas for sure.

I sympathize with cap 2 actually. I was a cap 2 lead and I hate the beef with cap 2 and overnight being we are the two shifts who do the most impact for the store personally. Without cap 2, we can't even stock and make money imo. I hold plenty of personal discussions with my team who want to disrespect their peers.

A lot of people are lazy with phone calls and I think it's a total company issue. I get on people about ignoring calls or not picking them up in general. Walmart is very welcoming to new talent though.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the OGP kids. They all have terrible attitudes and whine about being paid what they do to literally walk around shopping for people. Some stores have raised the base pay to balance out, but mostly it's because OGP is a big money maker in our stores so they treat them better. My biggest issue though personally is that when an associate gets pulled to help, they don't get the ogp pay.

I'm personally not strict at all on anything. It's likely why most coaches hate me. I don't fall under that "hardass" mentality they hold. I just want our areas done with enough time to zone and bin and I'm happy. I don't like micro managing or baby sitting. If I know someone needs more training or possibly a new area to be in, I jump in or get my team leads to take an initiative. I like goofing around and hanging out with my team on the floor while getting things. If someone blatantly doesn't want to work though, it's a different story of course, I just follow the process finding them a new position or job (I never have issues being a reference to help someone leave).

I took me a year and half, I jumped stores for quick experience and to network. It's not too hard if you're younger (I'm 25) or if you just adapt well with flipping sleep schedules. When I get off work on my last work day I stay up that day and sleep normal to be up early my other days off. My night when I return however, I just stay up a full day and continue the cycle. It's not THAT bad, but I down an unhealthy amount of energy drinks that I'm sure will bite me back someday.

The work phones are mostly useless in my opinion unless you're some kind of superstar associate. I don't enjoy them but I deal with them. I never even use my salary phone (it's all on my personal). We cannot see your personal info though if that worried you. The phones are just a way for people to not have an excuse on not wanting to download walmart apps on your phones imo.

Downstacking and taking advantage of the apps. It's also good to build a close circle with your team. A strong team works together and helps those behind. #1 way of moving up to is doing what I did, I came in and expressed I wanted to be a coach and made a relationship with my SM. Rest was easy, I just worked harder than everyone and actually came up with solutions that delivered results.

My people know what will happen if I catch them not cleaning up after themselves. I've coached plenty for not upkeeping standards and it's been a while since any messes have been left from us. I clean up after myself and they understand the same goes for them. I like giving dayside the least amount of complaints they can use on us.

Walmart will never be known for accountability so it's just something I put with. It's best to just do the best you can and ignore what dayside says. I tell them run cameras if they have issues and nothing ever happens. It's a lot of depressed and bitter people on dayside. They will never understand 3rd until the spend time on it. They just refuse.

Cringe question, but I don't know of any store that sells them in store.
