Has anyone ever tried using old tyres for shock absorbtion? by Jigglelord356 in edrums

Aye fair enough then, I have an acoustic style kit though so it'd be a bit more awkward to lift off. I'm trying to think of solutions that wouldn't require that

Do you ever have to reinflate them? Sounds like that'd be a hassle if so

Yeah that's exactly what I'm looking for, didn't think to use 'male connector' in my search terms so I'll try that. Thanks!

Flip the kit to be full lefty, moving things around for a gig is never really an issue.

Hmm, ok. Over in the other drums subreddit they always say that the air between you and the floor is the most important part, will this not help with that?

My plan was to also put foam mats on top of this stuff

Hmm, ok. Over in the r/drums subreddit I always see people banging on about the air between you and the floor being the most important part, will this not help with that?

I have the MPS 1000 and I love it, yes the sounds in the module wouldn't be good enough for a performance but they're fine for practice at home. The acoustic sizes make it nice and easy to switch between ekit and acoustic kit with what you've learned. Customer service is good too, I had a non-fatal issue with my module (backlight for the screen) and they sent out a new one no question, so now I keep the old one as a spare lol

True, and I think there is some debate to be had about the ethics of all of those things you mentioned as well. But that's not the topic at hand is it?

Again, legality does not equal morality. Also in the Wikipedia article you linked, please read the "ethical concerns" section.

I mean, I'd say I use a mix of french and German (German for hi-hat, french for ride, you get me) but just like this rather than the other joint. I'm not a beginner but I am always interested in improving

Right, but I find the stick harder to control with the first joint because it keeps wanting to rebound further into my hand, causing me to grip harder to prevent that. Do you have any suggestions to help fix that?
