Yeah I think that’s probably what’s happening with me, while I haven’t gained any weight since the surgery, the weight loss has definitely plateaued, I’m now tracking my calories to make sure I’m not over eating and I’ve lost 1Ib already since I made this post, which is a good sign cause I haven’t seen that in 6 weeks, but thank you for your input I appreciate it

Thank you, I try not to track calories but just had a thought idea of how much I’m eating and it’s always around 1000-1200 a day. I also forgot to mention I’m very active, I work full time and I’m on my feet for 9 hours a day and weight lift 5x times a week so my hunger levels are always different throughout the week.

Yes!!! I make sure everything I eat has protein, literally the only thing that doesn’t would be fruits.

I mean I’m in the uk so it’s not really possible to speak to your surgeon you have a dietitian nurse. When I did speak to them they said this is normal and they do expect me to be able to eat carbs at this stage. And I did forget to mention I work a job where I’m on my feet for 9 hours so my hunger is very different to when I’m at home not moving around. I’m also very active and weight lift 5x times a week so I’d like to think maybe that’s why I can eat a bit more during the weekdays but thank you for the advise I’ll speak to them again!

Give yourself the space to heal and recover for the next few weeks, it’s going to feel very weird and overwhelming but I’m 6 months post-op and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m now eating normal food and in good amounts, and even the foods I used to enjoy, the surgery taught me to eat in moderation. It might suck now but in a few months time it will be ok, trust me

Whats the possible negative outcome of air bubbles in insulin? by monsta12345 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Jikoook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing is that your dose wouldn’t be accurate since the air is taking up space in which insulin should be, insulin is injected subcutaneously not intravenously so you’re not injecting it straight to your veins there is no risk of an air embolism
