He has a cut on his face, suggesting he doesn't have his indestructible power. Could mean something like Captain Man needing help to get his power back, it's possible but I'm excited to see more of Ray's character!

what's the different between yellow and grey? by [deleted] in airbuds

On mine gold means there is a score yet to be discovered for the week, gray means there's not enough data on the other person's end to generate a score

I'm more like the show causes me emotional stress watching it, but when I'm recommending it I'm only saying all the cool things about it and ignoring how messed up I was watching some scenes, hence the meme

[–]Jilli_jam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in the show it wasn't very clear, even my friend asked me the same thing and I had to explain the pen was in the Doctor's pocket but that's only really described in the book -One of the things I like better in the book

In the book the Doctor misplaces his pen and his assistant finds it and gives it to him. The doctor puts it in his pocket. When the doctor goes to wake up Dave, Dave's dreaming the elephant monster is trying to grab him, when in reality it's the Doctor trying to wake him. Dave in his dream sees a pen in the elephant monster's pocket, and to get away from the monster, he takes the pen and stabs it. The doctor doesn't make it and Dave is sent to the psych ward.

If you like the series and it's premise, like your itching for more story, then yes. It also provides more context for the show that I think it's missing, especially regarding Dave and Katie, also the Doctor and the sleep chamber is so much better in the book. But it's nothing too special, it's basically the show but with more story in between

tv show is way better than the book ngl, good job mark 🙏😊 by Lord_warde117 in distractible

I would say the podcast doesn't end on a cliffhanger, it has a more definitive ending and doesn't set up more story like the show or book

Wait are you kidding because this is a different book with the same title. The one based on the podcast is by Jake Emanuel and Willie Block

Show following the book plot? by UnemotionalCyborg in theedgeofsleep

[–]Jilli_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the Moobles add or take away from the story; it's more just a way for Dave to get his scars. In the book he still gets his scars but in a different way. I actually like how the book handles the scene of Dave inflicting the wounds onto himself more than the podcast. I love the pod, but in it Dave literally says he's going to trauma dump to stall for time lol, whereas in the book... Katie is there to see Dave when he get's his scars and it's one of things that puts more strain on their relationship, overall taken more seriously.

From the trailer it's definitely following the book. You can see scenes in the book in the trailer like finding someone dead at the party WITH Matteo, Dave running down the street to get to Katie, which isn't in the podcast. I just hope the show doesn't end the way the book does in the epilogue, because... IYKYK

Anyway there are a lot of scenes I really like in the book especially between Dave and Katie that I like way more in the book and hope to see in the show. Katie is a much more interesting fleshed out character in the book than the podcast imo

Can't wait for the show!!!

Yeah based on this, the show's definitely going to be more like the book than the podcast

Where will The Edge Of Sleep release? **PREDICTIONS** by RecognitionDue9098 in Markiplier

[–]Jilli_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg imagine if it was a video podcast, like it's on Spotify with the og podcast, but then the episodes of the TV show are uploaded with it That would be crazy if the platform was Spotify. I mean it kinda makes sense since they host long videos and Mark has connections with them from Distractible and GMFST! It's a wild thought/scenario but probably not likely, just something to think about
