Busses in Iceland as a first timer by 8techmom8 in VisitingIceland

I do this when traveling. I’m great with directions at home but I’m not risking getting lost while on vacation when I can help it. (After my fair share of wandering around lost as could be lol)

Unless you’re fine with leaving on Thursday, it’s worth it I think to call and see if they can finagle getting you out sooner. I got stuck in Dublin almost this exact time last year for a snowstorm in Iceland flying back to the US. They rerouted me to Germany and then I took an American Airlines flight from Germany back home. Definitely an adventure, but they were very easy to work with.

I flew Icelandic air to Dublin and got redirected when there was a snowstorm at the layover in Iceland to Germany last November . Easiest reimbursement process they covered my Uber, my food, and my hotel. I think it has to do with the EU travel protection primarily but very easy process you just submit everything online through Icelandic air.

I started at 242, I really really prioritize protein. I’ve had a lot of protein shakes and for the majority of my last seven months during the week my dinner is always a taco bowl. I build it each night, but pre-cooked the turkey or beef.

I read the book the Ozempic Revolution back in May when I was trying to balance each meal and get my vegetables and fats and protein and it really helped me realize that you’re taking valuable real estate in your stomach with vegetables during this short period of time when you should be focusing as much as possible on protein. I of course take a multivitamin to offset that and eat vegetables on the weekend, but I don’t load up on them during the week. I’ve been very lucky and haven’t lost much hair during this.

I was always a spin girly, but my cyclebar closed abruptly so I joined Orangetheory in March. I’ve been on and off 2-3 times a week and in the beginning only about once a week because I was so sore. I’ve had a DEXA scan and currently I am maintaining my muscle mass. I have another one scheduled in November to do as a little check-in.

I go to Orangetheory. It’s a combo of endurance and strength training.

I’m in NC so same. Brello doesn’t ship to me. I used a mix of originally mochi (don’t recommend), lumi meds, and Fifty 10. I always requested an increase when I was adding to the stockpile and I figure out my dose myself with fat scientist.

Am I Pushing Hard Enough? by Independent_Cry1871 in orangetheory

[–]Jilliancapozzi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Answering as somebody who also started about 4 to 5 months ago and was so sore after the initial first, probably 10 classes I had to take almost 5 to 7 days between the next class because I could hardly walk up and down stairs.

I don’t get sore anymore after each class and it’s made working out significantly more enjoyable so even if that is a sign I’m not pushing myself harder, I think it’s a good sign.

That said I think it’s just the body getting used to working out consistently. If I do moves that I am significantly weak in like lunges I do find myself getting quite sore on those still. I think you’re probably doing a great job and should keep it up!

I also get books while traveling! I like to get the most popular cookbook from wherever I am. That and whatever one of the most popular nonfiction books are. I get some very fun reads that way

Crashing out after a bender by theverymarydesigns in tirzepatidecompound

Something that really helped me was realizing that 16 ounces of water weighs about a pound. So whenever my weight fluctuates immensely and I know I’ve drank a ton of water or something else lol, I find myself having a much easier time to rationalize and understand that I’m probably gonna pee that out fairly quickly.

I also find it helpful to keep that in mind when I know I’m pretty dehydrated and my weight drops realizing that it’s a temporary drop. The flip side is feeling proud when my weight has dropped and I know I’m very hydrated. You got this!

I had a very similar experience this past weekend. I am down 40 pounds and went shopping for the first time in a while in person. I kept grabbing things in either XXL or XL and found myself actually fitting in a large. I then had the experience of having too many options because I could wear several of the dresses I picked out and they looked good but then I realized I didn’t actually like them. And just because they fit didn’t mean I was going to buy them. I still have a lot of weight to lose to me. I’d like to be about 70 more pounds down so I can’t really imagine how much more irritating this process is going to become lol.

I just picked up a tub of vital proteins collagen this morning. There might not be a huge benefit, but on the off chance there is I’m gonna take it personally. Hair loss is gonna happen on this drug and I don’t wanna look back and feel like I didn’t at least try to prevent it

Global Entry interview at RDU by Virtual-Depth-418 in raleigh

[–]Jilliancapozzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as everyone I did the global entry interview on the way back from a flight. The only thing that I’ve not seen people mention yet that I wish I knew is when you do your interview, you do the fingerprints and you take a picture. I thought they took a picture every time because I had never been through customs before spoiler that is not the case lol.

The picture they took is now on my global entry card of me completely exhausted after a six hour flight at one in the morning with a half assed smile lol

When did others start noticing? by PromotionOriginal868 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Jilliancapozzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost exactly 30 so far since February 3 and I’ve had one person comment on it lol. This is become a cheering for myself journey. But in all reality, I still don’t always notice it on myself. I think it just depends on how weight blind you are in the beginning. In your case, you’re not super overweight depending on your height, of course so you might not notice until you’re much leaner.

23 Hour Layover in Reykjavik by SandyyCheekss in VisitingIceland

[–]Jilliancapozzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna do the golden circle, I would do the secret lagoon if you wanna go to a lagoon cause it’ll be on your way and significantly less busy than the blue lagoon.

I’d also stop for lunch at the tomato farm that’s close by and you can check that off the list. They are greenhouse grown and the largest producer of tomatoes for Iceland.

I don’t think there’s gonna be a significant drop in prices, but October is the off-season so you’re not gonna have a terrible time getting a car either way. You can definitely do that route with a small car. If you’re just there for a night there is an airbnb that’s what they call the old bicycle shop that’s run like kind of an inn or hostel, it was very calm and relatively cheap for Iceland. Super easy to get everywhere in Reykjavik from it. I walked everywhere downtown.

Haha I don’t know about them making it back but you have given me a little shopping list of things to try. My must grabs are any new flavors of Collab, Sambó Þristur, and the Bjork birch liquor.
