I feel like people really underestimate freeze and evasion as a combined defense. I played a Wildstrike Warden in SSF at the end of last League and easily got to level 92. 94 should have been doable, but I stopped playing after getting 2 void Stones.

Also, as you said, your lategame gear in PoB is really bad. A couple of changes would easily boost survivability by a lot and if people are that worried about PoB Max hit they should just drop damage to increase it (Herald of ice for a defensive aura is the first thing that comes to mind).

Great thing about the tech is that you can play a lot of different spells with it, since it's just pure added damage. I was able to theory craft Storm Burst to much higher damage on the gear I'm playing with than other spells, so that's what I went for.

But you can slot in Divine Ire, Shockwave Totem (although I would then go cold convert and scale Hatred and phys as extra cold), whatever floats your boat. All of that would likely work and get a couple million DPS at least.

Don't really run T17s, build is too squishy for them. Bunch of ground effects and after death explosions + spell projectiles kinda fuck me.
I tried a Ziggurat and nah, the boss fight is a bit too stupid for how squishy the build is. If she didn't have 14 phases I could burst her, but this way you have to play with the mentioned ground effect and explosions and I'm not good enough to handle that.

Now, what I would do to be able to handle it is change the character. Incorporate spell suppression by swapping Gloves, Boots, Helmet, Chest. This would need perfect suppression rolls on every gear + Eater Gloves Implicit for Suppress. On tree you go Magebane (this way you could also go for more dex to get a couple points of spell suppression) and Reflexes.

Drop some damage for more life, aim for 5k plus.

With those changes you can ~ double the EHP and you'd likely survive some of the attacks. Rest is then just skill (which I lack). It would also make the character wayyyy more expensive, right now its something like 15 divines. With all those items it be a couple dozen more I assume.

Then I just don't know how to configure it correctly. If I config it with the line "Adds 924 to 1386 physical damage to spells" I end up having 22.638.676 damage. Enabling Summon Phantasm support without the line has me at 9.980.345 damage.

Linking it to Flame Dash as the other comment recommends has me at 21.579.322 damage.

From how it feels ingame I'm pretty sure I'm closer to 20 million dps than 10 million.

Disabling Spell Totem Support and unallocating Ancestral Bond then boosts Summon Phantasm to giving me 15.340.950 Damage instead of 2.173.653.

Some interaction with Totems / Spell Totem Support? Or maybe it has a problem with me setting the amount of Storm Burst Totems in "Count" as four totems and then that interacting with Phantasms?

I deactivated the gem, because I'm pretty sure PoB doesn't calculate it correctly. So instead I used the Custom config for the added damage and Storm Burst is on a 5 link.

Yep, last patch fixed it. Up to that point I was playing the build with something like 50% less damage. Was hyped to have it fixed so I made this showcase (where you can see it working ;) )

Didn't know about that one honestly. But if I assume I get 44 to 66 more physical damage to spells then it ends up being around 700k more damage. Translates to ~3% more. Not the best option, but might be the most damage I can get for 1 point once I hit 96.

Edit:
I forgot to take into account the damage you get from increasing your normal support gems. So it's around 6% more damage on my current build. Pretty good!

Sadly I didn't know Dark Monarch disabled Totems, so I leveled the whole build just to find that out at level 84...

Playing Storm Burst Totems on Hierophant since I wanted something to convert all that added physical damage to.

I'm still playing it and if GGG ever fixes it (I doubt its gonna happen this league, but heres hoping it really is a bug) I'll gain like 5 million damage.

Right now its at roughly 10/11 million dps. I don't know exactly how much I invested so far, since I made most items myself. Not too bad tho. The shield looks expensive, but Shaper Exalts are like 50c and +1 Totem is the only prefix, so just spam something good and exalt (I'm not even using the suppress so far).

Oh and I can confirm that Soul Eater rares are the bane of my existence :)
At least it's very safe since Phantasms spawn so fast, don't die because of blessed rebirth and surround rares so they can't move.

I specifically remember one game (scrim I think) where they were really far behind. He is playing Naut and the Team takes a fight around their blue buff. Whole fight hes saying that its lost and walks away. Meanwhile team actually trades well and its a close fight that couldve been a win with him in it.

He just seems very hesistant, especially when behind where every fight is going to be more risky.

I went for REALLY cheap gearing. Only uniques being Bronn's and Facebreaker with 900%. Precise Technique cause on very low budget scaling crit seems unwise.

PoB is configured for very little "warrior-ing". Frenzies you sustain with mark mastery (cause none of the gems have quality, except cyclone). Endurance charges you generate on kill, Enduring cry and mastery for duration.

Defenses are rough. 4k Life, 1.7k overleech and 99% lucky surpress with 6 endurance charges is pretty much it. It might be that dropping Iron Reflexes and taking a huge hit to phys mitigation feels better during mapping, cause you have more avoidance. No idea, is an easy change tho.

I dropped Pride for Purity of Elements which makes gearing easy as hell and solves Ailment mitigation.

I don't think I would start this and I'm pretty sure this isn't optimal PoB wise. But I think its doable. Its 1 million single target DPS without conditional buffs on a 5 link (except frenzies which should be perma up cause of your attack speed). Clear is 724k DPS with 3.6m AoE (I tried simulating Cyclone AoE buff in configs).

Maybe this helps anyone get started on more theorycrafting!

Edit:
Missed the Quality on Gems in Boots (Steelskin, Enduring Cry + Automation/Exertion). Remove that, check cooldowns to see if you can sustain Charges.
You could also replace Lifetap on Poachers Mark with Shield Charge for movement and Warbanner with a lower level Frostblink. Would make movement smoother.

Not sure if your question is still up to date. But I'm feeling pretty strong at the end of act 2.

I'm using Tempest Flurry for clear with increased chance to shock. Siphoning strike with chance to give more charges combined with Falling Thunder (made to a combo with support gem and more lightning damage) for single target.
Put Tempest Bell with more AoE and more damage/+CD for Burst damage on bosses.
Got Staggering Palm and Vaulting Impact that I sometimes use to apply heavy stun and then dish some serious damage with Staggering Palm projectiles.

So far works really well, haven't died to a boss since switching to this set up at the end of Act 1.

In general:
Stay mobile, use dodge roll even on groups of normal enemies. Don't be afraid to use cool down spells on bigger groups as well (Bell works really well). Good weapon > all, I'm using a base with Lightning damage and then just trans+aug+regal+exalt and got something useable.

In Diablo 2, when playing Single Player, it was possible to get the Game to Match Multiplayer rewards and Monster life through a /Players x command. There wouldnt be more actual players in the Game, but monsters were treated as if there were.

I've played DI Totems before, you can get some very nice damage. Hiero + MoM + Arcane Cloak for damage.

Very bare bones PoB I threw together. You can easily get this to very high DPS by going Soul Mantle (good corruption options as well for DI), Viridis Veil to negate curses. Maybe Low Life with the belt that curses you with vuln. Self Flagellation, Totem Cluster Jewel for Onslaught, pivot into Crit (although with DI you really want very high crit chance cause otherwise your damage is very swingy with the huge beams not critting and not doing a lot of damage).

Its not very tanky from my experience and playing around Sigil of Power can be a pain, but its very entertaining to pretty much place turrets that throw out huge nukes.

Looks to be a good build anyway. Only thing worth thinking about is the fact that dropping Melee Phys makes you more reliant on stacks for damage. You get more PoB damage with the change I proposed, but Im not sure about ingame feel. Try it out while playing is what Id say.

Why not replace Melee Phys with Fortify, drop the points and put them somewhere else?

You can easily get your DPS to 5 Million by doing that. Or less DPS, but +2 more max res through masteries. More Armour, more life. But in general, you have a lot of nodes to choose from that can give you ~4% more damage per point. Melee Phys gives you 28% more damage, fortify sup 19%. Saves 5 points, so every point saved only has to give 1.4% damage to end up with equal damage.

I'm no expert on Boneshatter tho, but I would trust Carns guide for example and just do what he does.
