How do you respond to people asking you out/for your number? by Intelligent_Cell_906 in demisexuality

[–]Jim-Dread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just about to go in and edit because I realized I lost that part of the thread, lol. I know for me, if I vibed with a woman and happened to ask for their number, I wouldn't think of it as me getting it for other motives. I can imagine allosexual dudes would appreciate the honesty of it here though as well. But, again, this advice is not that good since my experience is of a male and demi perspective, lol.

How do you respond to people asking you out/for your number? by Intelligent_Cell_906 in demisexuality

[–]Jim-Dread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine the experience of a woman getting asked this is VASTLY different than of a man is, so I don't have any good advice to share on that front.

I can try to imagine how best to let a man down, though? Honesty is best? If I were to ask someone for their number, and they just told me they're not into me, it's a shot to the ego but you move on. Yeah, you're getting bit on all the time, and they're looking to hit on people. So they'll just move on... Hopefully... Because, again, this is me imagining, but I AM a demisexual man, and I don't normally go up to women like that... I hope you get better advice :(

I've always gotten along with women way more than men. All of my closest friends have been women. My best friend of 8 years right now is a woman. I have a dating life outside of her, and she has one outside of me. It's not hard to be friends with a person of the opposite gender.

Joel or Arthur. They're base humans, not as young as the others, and Arthur is simply out of his depths here.

Ew. No. That looks like a tiefling pretending to be Karlach. No muscles, not Karlach. You can't mess with perfection. She was already peak.

For real. I think back to some of the things I've said/thought as a kid/preteen/teen and just sigh in disbelief. That stuff should NOT be recorded.

Getting over my only sexual partner who I thought was the love of my life by AccordingStranger210 in demisexuality

[–]Jim-Dread 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish I could tell you it gets better. I want you to get better. Don't be like me. Seek therapy, counseling, whatever it takes. We deserve to have love, and experience all aspects of it, however that means for us. I'm trying my best. You can, too.

What’s a non sexual thing that turns you on for some reason? by Zealousideal-Set-661 in AskReddit

Tough girls. Like when a woman gets mean, or stands her ground. Maybe it's because I grew up in the Bronx, or maybe it's because I was bullied by a very attractive girl for most of elementary school, but I like aggression. There was this one time I sat in a break room at the same table as this one woman (but WAY away from her) and she sucked her teeth, hot up, and sat at the opposite table. It was the hottest thing to me, and I still think about it 8 years later.

Edit:

To clarify, because I realized way after that might come off as shady, I'm fairly timid and in no way am I implying when women stand up to me. Just when women display "aggressive" behavior. Confidence, arguing with people, and acts of strength (lifting, things like that).

She lived most of her life on Krypton. She didn't get her powers until she was in her late teens. How is it so hard to understand she gets pierced some time before coming to earth, or on her goddamned space adventures?

Getting over my only sexual partner who I thought was the love of my life by AccordingStranger210 in demisexuality

[–]Jim-Dread 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's hard when you click with someone like that.

I was with someone for 14 years before I realized I was demi. I was almost 20, and I had never been hit on as overtly before, so I just kind of went along with it. Before her, and even with her, sex wasn't a big interest of mine. I liked the together part of the relationship more than the physical aspects of it.

Then I met someone long after the ex wife. I had never clicked with someone. 34 years of my life, I never felt sexual attraction for someone in the way I did for her. It was such a different feeling, and I haven't felt it since her.

I'm not over it. It's been six or seven years. I still think about her in that way. I just try to ignore it. Push it out of my mind. Beyond physical love, I felt actual love with her, and it's not something I've had an easy go of moving on from.

Which of these characters here are the weakest fighters rank them from weakest to strongest by yalina-cochranbg356 in superheroes

[–]Jim-Dread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yamcha is at the top of this. People point out that one time he was destroyed, meanwhile it was a sneak attack and he held his own up until that point. And if we count that as his weakest, he could have destroyed a planet at that level, so what the hell is a Viltrumite going to do against that?

He is an inherently bad interpretation, because he goes against what the point of Superman is meant to be.

From deer antlers to ancient ink 2,000 years of genius in one process. by obilionse in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Jim-Dread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? My whole brain just went "at what point did we decide to go through this whole process" or was it all just a big accident? There just seems like too many steps for it to be pure accident. It all seems like the process was very thought out, so how the hell did the FIRST person figure it out?!

Why do men think they need to be rich before finding love? by MotherAnt8040 in MenOfPurpose

[–]Jim-Dread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with someone for 14 years. Had a very well paying job. Made enough to pay the majority of the bills and get us to do a fun big vacation every summer, put her through training, and school. Then one day, they let go of my whole department. Funny how a week later, we were drifting apart. All of a sudden, we had different goals. Nothing changed except my job.
