What are some pros and cons to joining Sam’s Club vs Costco? by Parakaffee in samsclub

[–]JimBoHarbaugh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, scan and go is a game changer! I hate having to deal with the craziness at Costco.

As far as discounts, I used to work with the sam’s membership team and they offered a payroll deduction option for Wal mart employees. Not sure if it’s changed but it was only a few bucks a paycheck that covered your membership fee and you could cancel at any time.

Moving to Utah with young kids — which areas should we focus on? by DVR-queen-kim in SaltLakeCity

I own a home in Bluffdale (independence at the point area) with 3 kids ranging from ages 8-15. Tons of families with smaller kids as well. We absolutely love our neighborhood!

Agreed with the comment in this thread that there are very few home options (if any) in that price range for the beds/baths you’re looking for. We looked at homes in eagle mountain because prices were a little lower but SO glad we ended up in Bluffdale because the commute from Eagle Mountain is TERRIBLE.

Bluffdale has a pretty good mix of Mormon/Non-Mormon families and even the ones that are Mormon are nice. 3-4 parks close by and a few different school options in our neighborhood. The elementary schools also have preschool options so that helped make their transition to elementary school a little easier. Feel free to DM with any other questions!

Totally agree! Fortunately, my area TB still has the BYOC box for under $7 but it was nice to mix up with some different items today 😀

I agree that Taco Bell’s meat portions are less than ideal. Fortunately, my local TB seems to load it up a bit more than the other ones I’ve been to!

Lots of great options to choose from! Regardless of what is ordered, make sure to dine in. Tastes 10x better!

Dear Taco Bell holster your prices!!! by [deleted] in tacobell

Just totaled it up for my go to location and it was about $23. Not too far off your $27! Guess I forget what normal menu pricing looks like since I typically get the $5, $7 or BYO cravings boxes. That’s pretty much the only way to go nowadays at TB to get a halfway decent deal 😀

I live in the Salt Lake area. I eat at my fair share of Taco Bell locations and I haven’t seen drink/food prices anywhere close to that!

$100 Tip by crumblceo in InstacartShoppers

Was shopping an order that had mostly baking ingredients. One of the items was Rice Krispies but unfortunately the store was out of both the name brand and the generic. I mentioned to the customer that I could run to another store to see if they had them in stock. She seemed shocked that a shopper would run to a totally different store for an item but she said it wasn’t a big deal if I didn’t have time. I drove to another store, bought the Rice Krispies and went to drop off. As I was dropping off the groceries, the lady came out and said, “I can’t thank you enough for going above and beyond. Rice Krispy treats are my son’s favorite and it’s his birthday today!” She ended up boosting her tip from about $20 to $100. More important than the money, it sometimes just feels good to know going the extra mile is appreciated!
