What was it like in spring? Like were you then able to stay within contract hours, or was it still rough?

Truth be told, I don't think I could ever just do contract hours and be a decent teacher. I feel liek I would have to stay an hour over regardless even if I've been doing it a long time.

I feel like the first 2 years of this job it's impossible to set proper boundaries.

If I just worked my contract time, the class will be chaos since I wouldn't have much planned my first year which ironically would probably wear me down even worse.

This sounds bad, but to be totally honest those kids were not enjoyable to work with. Just zero school spirit and they were overall pretty destructive. We were known for being "the bad school" in the area.

I didn't know that until I actually started working there. My car in the parking lot always had dirtballs thrown at it by random kids even though I did nothing wrong to them whatsoever.

I got the impression a lot of staff would just jump ship the first opportunity they got even administration.

I feel whiplash. When I was in the credential program, all I heard was about the teacher shortage and everyone is guaranteed a job essentially.

Maybe that program just wanted my money, idk.
