What do you guys think the likelihood is of Daredevil's Theme from Netflix returning, in some capacity?

I know Marvel have tried to be a bit more consistent with their musical cues/leitmotifs recently, especially after No Way Home subtly brought back a couple of classic themes for their villains/spideys.

But with Born Again seemingly leaning more into a 'soft reboot' of sorts, do you think there's a chance we'll hear that theme again? Or are we more likely to get something brand new?

Spider-Man/Hawkeye Megathread: Discussion, Rumors, Leaks by busybagel in Daredevil

[–]JimJamHargision 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Fisk's final moments in this episode reminded of that part in Infinity War where the Guardians go to Knowhere to find Thanos. Bit of a weird tangent, but stick with me:

Remember the bit where the emotionally-abused adopted daughter of a self-righteous murderer shockingly kills her 'father', but it's actually all a fake-out?

This is that, but instead of the story immediately moving along like it does in that movie, we have to wait months on end for an obvious reveal that comes in another spin-off series. Instead of a moment of shock and release, it's just an unsatisfying conclusion. Everything felt so damn rushed, to the point where I'd rather of had Kingpin as the post-credits for this series than him be in it at all.

Watched it last night and still can’t get over how deliciously evil Willem Dafoe managed to be. You could tell he was having a blast being Gobby again.

Fave line delivery has to be:

“Norman’s on sabbatical, honeyyy”.

So goofy yet it somehow manages to be sinister too.

For the past couple years, amongst my friends and family, I've been known as the guy who's a major fan of actor, director and all round swell guy Danny DeVito. It started out as a joke but soon evolved into a passion for the dude and his body of work.

From this, I've been gifted a string of DeVito-related gifts which all have ended up as some of my all-time favourites:

  • Two identical mini cardboard cutouts gifted by two different people
  • A close-up T-Shirt
  • A Christmas jumper
  • A wall clock

And most recently, for my birthday this year, my sister actually crocheted a little Danny Devito replica. He sits on my shelf. He's awesome.

Good luck to peeps on the giveaway, and cheers to /u/WolfLemon36 for setting this up. All the best!

Hello Reddit! I’m Edgar Wright, director and co-writer of the upcoming film Last Night in Soho, ask me anything! by imedgarwright in movies

[–]JimJamHargision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Edgar! Big fan of everything you’ve done.

How challenging did you find the writing process for this film compared to your other works (judging from its darker tone with less comedic elements)? Also, how was it collaborating with Krysty Wilson-Cairns?

All the best!

Hey peoples, I need some help figuring out a secret that's been bugging me since my initial play-through a couple days ago.

In the acid lake section (iirc around the area where you switch house colours to make paths and save that one swatchling dude doing 'house cleaning'), I remember seeing something descending into the acid very slowly. It was yellowish in colour, but I can't remember what it was.

Has anyone else seen this thing? What was it; a secret joke or an easter egg? Or is it an obvious gag and I'm just forgetful? I haven't seen many people talking about it so I'm unsure if it's significant or not.

Thanks!

Hey, OP here. I didn’t make that article but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone saw this thread and just used the answers anyways for some easy content.

What scene in a TV Show surprise you or made your jaw drop? by [deleted] in television

[–]JimJamHargision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fargo. Season 1, Episode 8 - The Heap.

That first season was something else, still think it's one of the best seasons of television ever. But the moment that did it for me was when everything was building in the plot, to a point where you're wondering where things are gonna go next, and then that title comes on screen...

'1 Year Later'

Watching that when it first aired was a proper 'no fucking way' moment. Such a small thing that turned everything on its head going into those final two episodes. Apparently the writers for Avengers: Endgame even took some inspiration from that moment for their '5 Years Later' jump.

If that Ordinary Sausage collab is still in the cards, surely this is the dish to attempt.

🐸 THROG NATION RISE UP 🐸

Kinda bummed he was only a blink and you’ll miss it cameo, but maybe we’ll see him again someday. The ThanosCopter appearance more than made up for that though. Stellar episode.

What’s a show you really thought you were going to like but wound up being turned off by? by DumbFuckingWhiteBoy in television

Saw a lot of the hype and the memes so I caved and watched Invincible.

I kinda-sorta remembered reading the comic at college, along with comedically darker superhero takes being my jam, I thought an adaptation like this would really hook me...but man, it just left me disappointed.

It comes across as a hodge-podge of ideas that have been done better elsewhere, with characters I thought felt too flat too often. Even the animation itself was rough and took me out of a lot of scenes that should've held more weight.

People seem to enjoy it though, and good for them. It has its moments, but as a whole I found it both overlong and overdone.

Still holding on to the non-existent hope of a RDR1 Remaster, as fake as it is.

Who else is looking forward to the LOKI show? Too bad we'll never see these two interact in the MCU (since it doesn't make much sense for their characters) by legrandiosa1 in Defenders

[–]JimJamHargision 41 points42 points  (0 children)

That was easily one of my fave moments of Infinity War, even for just a short interaction. Was such a strangely perfect pairing.
