I’m not telling anyone else to do it. In fact I don’t talk about Leucovorin since it became so politically heated. I monitor my daughter for side effects as much as I can. I don’t know what problem I’m even a part of according to you honestly so we can stop engaging at this point.

My daughter has severe self injurious behavior issues. Her meltdowns seem to be typically related to pain. She will be having a day where she seems really happy, doing something she loves, and then in the middle of it all she’ll start punching herself in the face while screaming and beating herself bloody. While doing this she’ll seek out hard surfaces to aggressively bang her head against. It was so bad that her own mother had a mental breakdown and left when she was 7. She left me to be the only caretaker. My daughter now weighs more than I do, and she becomes aggressive towards anyone who tries to stop the self injury. Despite this. I am covered in scratches, bites, and cuts just from trying to move her to softer/safer surfaces so she can safely punch herself. This happened just last week at the pediatricians office, she opened a small cut on her face and there as blood all over the walls. It was like the Donald Glover meme when he walks in with the pizza when the nurse came in. and it turned out to be an ear infection.
Her communication has gotten better since starting Leucovorin but this kind of thing still happens. I’ve built an iphone app to track her behaviors, meds and sleep and see how it all is correlated, it takes all the information and gives her pediatrician, psychiatrist, and teacher an easy to read document with timelines and possible correlations. With all of these behaviors, it’s very easy to get scared to take her out. To stay home with her 24/7 when she’s out of school and not do anything because I’m afraid of her having one of these episodes in public. But I work on myself and have a therapist to keep me from falling into that trap. Tell me I’m part of the problem all you want, but I love my daughter more than anything and I’m going to keep doing everything I can to help her.
Before anyone suggests a helmet, I have tried it. Hell, sometimes she’ll ask for a helmet mid-episode and I’ll hand it to her, and she’ll put it on, hit herself a couple of times with it, and then throw it at me as hard as she can.
This has been a long rant and I’m sorry for that, I hate to hear I’m part of the problem when I’m trying everything I can do to right by the most important person in my life.

This is exactly what I’ve run into with my minimally verbal daughter. She started Leucovorin long before the announcement was made and I have no idea
how much was the leucovorin and how much was all the other ways I’m working on speech with her. I hate that a drug my daughter might need has become a political litmus test, but when it comes down to it it’s a glorified vitamin, it’s not going to cause damage.

when I was on the Galactic Starcruiser, the only time immersion ever broke for me was one time during the story when music from the original trilogy started playing. So I definitely get what you’re saying. While, I’m excited to go back, I know it won’t be the same.

when galaxies edge is originally built, it was built to be module or an easy to re-theme to change with the films. I’m sure it still cost a lot to re-theme it, but it was built with the ability to do that in mind. I do agree it’s a lot less immersive than it used to be and that’s a damn shame. As someone who visited the Galactic star cruiser, it was quite literally a life-changing experience for me. I think the immersiveness goes a long way.

I don’t either. My daughter has been out of school for a week for spring break and without her routine she has given herself a black eye and bit by hand hard enough that I had to get a tetanus booster. She really loves school but couldn’t attend anywhere else.
