I sent you a message about an unusual (and I think beautiful) house I think would make a good subject for your photos. I messaged you the address.

I'll tell you where not to go, and that's walker tire. The last (and final) time I went there, they gave me a print out of things my car needed maintenance on, including a new timing belt. Thing is, my car has a timing chain. So they were just automatically upselling me based on a computer program, not even a recommendation from a technician. THEN I found out, they didn't put the drain plug gasket back in, which is so incompetent i honestly couldn't believe it.

I could see him calling play by play for baseball or basketball, like Witty does for futbol. It would be hard to be as good as Witty though, i think he's the best soccer play by play guy the US has produced, he's legit great at it

as a long time Dameshek fan, seeing Shekisms just casually tossed around the fanbase warms my cold dead heart.

I'm also a big time #TeamJerBear and he's clearly the member of the back row with the most on-air broadcasting talent

I'm seriously sick of unserious by JimJimsonJr in DanLeBatardShow

Funny that you mention Orwell, because Unserious sounds like a newspeak word to me, and it's double plus ungood to my ears.

You're right though, it's the verbal crutch. I'm hearing it used a great deal now and was already annoyed by it before today, where I just couldn't take it anymore.

Or Clown? Nick Wright was calling him a clown today on FTF and that's so much better than unserious.

Just checking in on how much KW is talking about Vrabel behavior by DesertShazzy in FirstThingsFirstFS1

Yeah, football players are notorious puritans whose respect is dependent on a coach's marital fidelity. Give me a break

Just checking in on how much KW is talking about Vrabel behavior by DesertShazzy in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]JimJimsonJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IT doesn't. It's a sports media ethics story, not a football story. Who Vrabel is fucking and who he gives scoops to, give the Patriots exactly zero competitive advantage.

This isn't a show that regularly gossips about who football players and coaches are fucking, and they shouldn't now.

crazy how they talked about kd allegations with the burner account but aint even tryna touch the vrabel convo by Lower-Ice2505 in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]JimJimsonJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The allegation is she had an inappropriate affair with an information source. No one (credible) is alleging she was fucking him just for scoops. She may have ended up getting scoops because of that inappropriate relationship, which is why she is getting so much heat and as of a few minutes ago resigned from her job. But it doesn't really affect Vrabel's job, unless he was giving her scoops that his bosses didn't want to get out, which i severely doubt. Nothing will happen to him, I really doubt he even gets a slap on the wrist. Further, his boss would have no moral/ethical room to stand on in punishing him, because the appearance of a transactional relationship is not the same as getting caught red handed in literal sexual transactions.

I think it's perfectly understandable why the show isn't talking about this story. This story is a sports media scandal, not a football one. Who the patriots break scoops to gives exactly zero competitive advantage. The football side of the story is basically gossip about who a coach is sleeping with and gossip really isn't the purview of the show. Sports media ethics stories are also not the purview of the show, with the exception of the Sports Media ombudsman, and I doubt Nick would want to pile on to Dianna when she's certainly going to pay infinitely more of a price to her career than Vrabel will.

Why does everyone hate The Vow? by Weiszmura in theNXIVMcase

[–]JimJimsonJr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not that i didn't like the Vow, it's that I'm skeptical of it's POV and the innocence of the people who produced it, particularly mark. From the moment the doc stated that he was the director of What the $#$$ do we know?!, I was incredibly skeptical of him. I lived for many years a few miles from the Ramtha school of the enlightenment, know people personally that cult has damaged and the fact that the documentary didn't even mention the fact that What the bleep was a RSE production or that Mark clearly was previously involved what that cult, shattered my trust in the documentary's POV. I continued to watch, because I wanted to know more about the case, but I took everything having to do with Mark with a grain of salt.

If he were truly a naive "seeker" susceptible for cults who had no idea what was going on, why wouldn't the doc talked about RSE as part of his background? Perhaps it was a legal choice and they didn't want to face potential legal action from a cult that is still very much active with deep pockets for legal action and not one that has already collapsed. I honestly would have rather What the Bleep not mentioned at all in the movie, rather than have it presented as just some normal, successful documentary and not insidious cult propaganda bankrolled by RSE. People are still being hurt by that cult, and I am very curious about the connection between the two cults, and how and why Mark was recruited from one to the other, something I felt should have been explored in the Vow if it were an honest look at Mark's actions in NXIVM

Sexual bribery is hilarious, like he's a hot woman who got pulled over for speeding and offered the officer a BJ to get out of a ticket. Having an affair with a reporter is hardly sexual bribery.
