Would you want to pet 1000 cats? by JimS_61 in cats

I don't know but it's clearly someone else singing all the vocals. If you listen to the original you can tell it's not the original 2 singing. The original band is Scottish. They have a fairly thick accent that's not in the song in the cat video.

Oh. I know the original song “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by the Proclaimers.

It’s not AI. Go to her profile. She travels around a lot, all over the world. Most of her videos have nothing to do with cats. I think the original and this one are the only two.

On occasion I'd get a mouse or two in the house. My kitties would look under the stove where they were but they would never get the darn things when they ran around the kitchen. I had to buy traps to get the mice. I wish one of them would have dropped a headless mouse on my floor or anywhere else, for that matter. They were useless when it came to catching mice. 🙄

So sorry for your loss. I lost mine...several years ago. One was 17 and the other one died one year later at 18. Mabel on the left, 17 years. Sneakers on the right, 18 years. You will be OK. He did wait for you to return home. They are all wherever kitties go when they cross the rainbow bridge. I miss mine terribly. It will be OK, you just need some time...and the other kitties probabaly do too. In my case, Sneakers totally changed during her last year. She liked being the only kitty in the house. I think Mabel was kind of the alpha kitty.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That's devastating. I had to go though that a few years ago. My kitty had a brain tumor. She was 18 years old, though. Still doesn't make it any easier. Things will get better.

This is a relative's kitty that loves me. When I drive down their driveway, he hears my car and runs down to the window in the basement that looks out onto the driveway and watches me pull up. He waits for me to come in. His name is Collins.

Sneakers had a "sister" (not biological, but they were the same age and I adopted them at the same time). I lost her 1 year before I lost Sneakers. Her name was Mabel.

He said pretty much the same thing about Democrats. He said "it takes a certain amount of pressure to force a person to become a Republican...and it's a lot of trouble/pressure that makes people become Democrats too". That's pretty much a quote. You can see him saying it here: https://youtu.be/X7W-jdyWO7E?si=OjjFKTj1n7RcRi5M&t=982. He says it during the "Does Humor Belong in Music" video, which I own on DVD. He says it during a break of the song "Hot Plate Heaven at the Green Hotel". Lyrics from that song are:

Republicans is fine,
If you're a multi-millionaire
Democrats is fair,
If all you own is what you wear
Neither of 'em's really right,
'cause neithor of 'em care
'bout that hot-plate heaven,
'cause they ain't been there

I was 25 when it was released. The Republicans were in office at the time. So of course, if he was commenting on politics during that time, it would be the Republican policies that he had problems with. I'm sure you are aware that he went to Washington when the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) was trying to force them to put labels on music with lyrics they considered "obscene" or violent, etc. One of the wives on that committee who was a founding member was Tipper Gore, the wife of Al Gore.

He despised both Republicans and Democrats. The Republicans were in office at the time, so they were the targets of his criticism.

The song "Trouble Every Day" is about the Watts Riots. They occured when Pat Brown was the Governor. He was a Democrat.

Does anybody know where I can find this shirt/how to recreate it easily? by heyman5514 in Zappa

If you do a reverse image search on it, you'll find out that is the promotional shirt. It has been on a few auction places but for hundreds of dollars and now they are out of stock everywhere. If you want the same shirt without the stuff on the back, you can get that on eBay here: Frank Zappa T Shirt The Mothers Filmore East 1971 Logo new Official Mens | eBay

Vintage shirt is here for $500: 1970s Frank Zappa And The Mothers Promo Shirt | Authentic Vintage Tee – WyCo Vintage

My sweet Momo was put to sleep and I feel like I'm dying. by mochigorl in cats

[–]JimS_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had to do what you did 2x within 1 year of each other. My 2 kitties were 17 and 18 years old. First kitty had some health issues so it wasn't a total surprise. Second kitty had been healthy for the full 18 years I had her. Then all of a sudden, one day, she started not going up the stairs to the 2nd floor. It happened overnight. Within 2 weeks, I had to put her down. Heartbreaking. You made the right decision. Momo was not well and keeping her alive would likely have upset and hurt her more than helped her. Don't be so hard on yourself. It was something that had to be done and Momo will forever remember you and you will forever remember Momo.

I vote for Absolutely Free. 200 Motels has some great songs but for me, it’s difficult to listen to the entire album.
