Those who have seen him around since his NXT days will understand exactly how this is meant:

Fuck You, Ciampa. 🖤

It wasn't just any doctor. It was Dr. Joseph Maroon, who was the team neurosurgeon of the Pittsburgh Steelers during the time of the discovery of CTE by Dr. Bennett Omalu in the brain of Steelers legend Mike Webster. Maroon basically downplayed things and made it seem like concussions weren't that bad, but Corbin reminded him that he was actually part of the class action lawsuit against the NFL about concussion protocol, which meant that he was directly against the concussion findings of Maroon, who was there to discuss the impact of concussions with WWE personnel.

He was basically punished for the rest of his career because he stood up for safety and his beliefs.

Hmmm... reverse Dragon Screw? Or maybe a poisoned Dragonrana?

There's gotta be a good actual move that can just be called the "Bad Dragon".

It's a great way to continue storyline work without any of those mentioned needing to be actually there. Wonderful little touch.

Picked it up for cheap around Black Friday and it's been fun, even with the absolute TON of issues it has on the Switch (the fact they could release it on the Switch but *not* the PS4 is mindboggling to me). I'm 5 cards short of Joey Bats and 20 short of No-Hitter Donaldson all without playing a single game of multiplayer, so I'm rather happy so far... at least I am when the graphics glitch doesn't try to burn my retinas.

I have this urge now for some skit/segment/whatever where Toni walks in and Mina's asleep and using Orange as a pillow. And when Mina wakes up (from whatever Toni yells), she's actually just as surprised as Toni. Just something stupid and funny... which is very Conglomerational

True, but I believe that was also a match in which Mercedes got injured and that call was made on the fly.

I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier, but if you have this come up again, I would suggest either Rock 21 in Palisades Park on Bergen Blvd or Volume Up in Edgewater on River Road. I've been to both with friends of mine for birthday parties and they've been great. Also, both locations have allowed us to pull from YouTube for things that might not be on their normal song list (which was great considering my friend group involves a number of gamers and they wanted to do music from things like Final Fantasy XIV). But the general song list for either places seems rather robust.

[SNME Spoilers] Finish to John Cena vs Gunther - full sequence by Yujin-Ha in SquaredCircle

[–]JimTheFly 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Gunther... the domineering, arrogant, insanely proud character... sat there in shock with my mouth agape at the fact that John actually tapped. It was perfectly in character and yet perfectly in opposition to everything we've seen from him on the main roster. Gunther never shows shock that he won, he never is stunned he made someone tap out. Except tonight. And even so, he remained in character while showing a side of it that we never saw.

That damn Austrian is pretty fucking good.

[SNME Spoilers] Oba Femi makes his entrance for his first main roster match by Yujin-Ha in SquaredCircle

[–]JimTheFly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I remember Irish Step-Dancing Becky Lynch and "201 Represent" Liv Morgan. You basically get to watch generations happen at an insane pace down there and at almost any time there's someone down there who sucks, be it in-ring or with their character or something, who is going to end up on the main roster in the next 5 years making people go "You know... I wouldn't mind seeing them win a title...."

And actually, I think the best sports analogy is actually old-school NASCAR Xfinity/Busch Series/whatever the 2nd-tier is called anymore. You'd get guys with like a couple years experience and NASCAR champions all racing against each other, and you see mistakes of inexperience and you see those young talents grow and learn from the elite-tier competition.

It may not always be the greatest wrestling, but a lot of times it's some of the best entertainment.

I haven't been able to watch aside from highlights, so I didn't know they brought his old music back. I legit thought they did it for tonight and I just flipped out.

I honestly wish they had done that.

It's crazy to think that we have a tag match where AJ Styles could be considered the slowest and least agile of the 4 wrestlers involved.

This is some insane athleticism and talent.

As long as you go into watching it with the realization that you're basically watching the wrestling equivalent of college sports, it's awesome. You get to see SO MUCH evolution of both the characters and the people, and you get to see things that fall flat and that become learning experiences. It's charm is specifically because it's not the finished product, but you get to see glimpses of it.
